    249. The Balance Between Listening To Spiritual Advice And Doing It For The Plot

    In this episode, I discuss the (sometimes difficult) balance between listening to the spiritual world, whether it's a tarot reading, spirit contact, an astrology reading (or something else), and ignoring it - and making choices that I've come to think of as "doing it for the plot." Sometimes, we just wanna ignore spiritual guidance and live life "normally" - and having some crazy, interesting, fun, or dramatic stories to tell. Sometimes we need to make choices that are calculated risks, going on adventures that sometimes explode in our face and goes totally wrong. Sometimes it's okay to just... do that, and learn lessons the hard way. I love and believe in spiritual guidance; I'm grateful for my own spiritual connection and gifts, and while I do listen to it most of the time, there are some times I've gone off on some adventures regardless. It can be a difficult thing to balance as human beings! At the same time, doing it for the plot can give us confirmation that the spiritual information we chose to ignore was actually spot on. It can also teach us the real world version of what the tarot cards and/or other spiritual messages express themselves. An interesting and important discussion!     248. You WILL Be Misunderstood And Misinterpreted And Misrepresented - Get Used To It!

    In this episode of The Secrets of a Witch Podcast, I talk about how being misunderstood, misinterpreted, and misrepresented is an unavoidable part of life. We have to get used to it, and be so grounded in our own authenticity that we're unflappable. It can be very easy to desire and strive to be seen, heard, and understood, and to think we can't be fulfilled in life without trying to persuade and convince everyone to see us a certain way. In reality, no matter who we are and how we show up in the world, some people will 'get' us, and others won't; this could be due to their own journey and lens (whether good or bad, healthy or unhealthy). What matters the most is, do we know ourselves? Do we have self awareness? Do we have a good understanding of our own strengths and weaknesses? Do we know what we're terrible at and what we're good at? Do we respond well when trusted others teach us about our blind spots? How can we ground in our own sober self awareness about where we're at, and not get swept up in the highs and the lows of feedback from others?     247. Only Believe People Can Change When You See Evidence of Change

    As a tarot card reader, I get asked this a lot - will he/she/they change? Is there hope for my relationship/marriage/friendship/etc? Unfortunately, in many cases, hope can end up f*****g people over - false hope can cause people to stick around and feel that "change is just around the corner, it'll happen any minute now," and then it's five, ten, twenty years later, and people have wasted their lives. Proof is in the pudding. Don't believe sweet fake words - believe only what you see with your very own eyeballs. Talk is cheap.     246. Will The Avoidant Come Back? What To Do When They Return (And Why)

    In this episode, I discuss whether or not the person with avoidant attachment (who left you, ghosted you, cheated on you, etc) will come back and try and repent, and what to do when and if they do. I also discuss reasons why people may stay in such toxic relationships, such as addiction to drama, financial greed, psychological codependency, an ego boost that no matter how often someone cheats they come back, etc. The real question is - when the avoidant ex comes back, why would you even want them? Why do you feel compelled to give them a chance? Why do you have such low expectations for your life and the people in it?     244. Ask Your Spirit Team To Intervene And Reveal The Truth (You Can't Hide From The Spiritual World)

    In this episode of The Secrets of a Witch Podcast, I share a real story about receiving a mediumship message from my great grandmother, and asking my Saint to intervene and reveal the truth of a situation, confirming the mediumship message from nearly a month prior - a message which, at first, seemed a little farfetched to me. Spiritual intervention, help, and spirits revealing the truth is absolutely available to you, all you need to do is ASK. Do not be afraid to ask to see the truth of a situation. It can be scary to face the music and to see reality for what it is. Your ancestors and spiritual team will often allow you to make your own mistakes and learn your own lessons, but their help and intervention is there for you when you are ready for it and if you feel you need or want it. Your spiritual team has your back. The spirits SEE ALL. They are there to help and support you, when and if you ask and are ready to receive their intervention and messages. Your spiritual team will have access to the sketchy behaviour of other people. Ask them, if you're ready. No one can hide from the spiritual world.     243. Celebrate Surprise Endings! Breakups, Job Loss: The Best Is Yet To Come. Trust The Universe!

    In this episode, I talk about how surprise endings, break ups, job loss, etc - any big unexpected change - can be absolutely amazing, a gift, and the universe redirecting us to something better. It's possible to redirect our mindset out of misery and sadness, into celebration and opening. With surprise endings, one door is closed for us, and one million additional doors open. How miraculous is that? Sometimes, feeling better and being excited about the future is as easy as deciding to change our own mind and our own thoughts. Say no to negative self-talk, say no to projecting negativity and awfulness into the future. Assume the best is yet to come. Life is happening FOR you, NOT to you.     242. The Devil Card in Tarot: Drugs, Addiction, Gambling, Secrets, Shame, Sex, and Harmful Habits and Coping Mechanism

    The Devil card in tarot shows us where we are harming ourselves, and where we are stuck in maladaptive and unhealthy loops, often tied to trauma, addiction, shame, and impulsiveness. The Devil can also hint at dark and spicy elements of life, such as polyamory, kink, and things of that nature - though, unless otherwise indicated in the position the card is pulled in the reading, The Devil often does reference excess, lack of control, and being impulsive and intensity in ways that hurt/harm us. The Devil is about patterns and bad vibes - unfortunately including secrets, abuse, addictions, shopping addiction, sex addiction, overspending, gambling, avoidance, cheating, manipulation, and more. Do not ignore The Devil when this card comes up! It's a big deal.
