Is Star Wars Folklore? It's Cantina Chatter!

https://www.teepublic.com/user/what-does-star-wars-mean-to-you?utm_source=designer&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=S-U65Jr9ZKo This week in our Cantina Chatter we chat about if Star Wars has transcended its creator, George Lucas, to folklore status or, as we discussed as inspired by Taylor Swift, does it now belong to everybody? It all started when Dave “clutched his pearls” at the Mandalorian and Grogu Superbowl Commercial. Is that too Earth bound for Star Wars? Is that “beneath the franchise”? Hold on, don’t send us complaints yet! As we dig deeper, we look at how Star Wars shows up in pop-culture (Muppets, Sesame Street, Family Guy) in ad-integrations (Volkswagen, PSA’s) and in fan generated content (Disney+’s Star Wars Visions, fan films, STEM). Star Wars. We also chat about Denise AKA Mandalorian Momma and what we learned about talking about what Star Wars means to her! Also, Dave’s Darkside makes a return! This time he heads into the Darkside Cave to take on the importance of movie budgets to fandom and enjoying a movie!
