This next Disney Lorcana Trading Card Game (TCG) set is the culmination of a year-long storyline and features glimmers from Pixar’s Up, Monsters, Inc., and Turning Red. Attack of the Vine! prereleases on July 17, 2026 in game stores and select Disney Parks and stores, and then will be available everywhere on July 24.“Adventure awaits in Lorcana as the realm grapples with the implacable threat of the Vine that’s grown completely out of control,” said Nicole Smith, Senior Narrative Designer at Ravensburger. “Now that the Vine has soaked up all of the magical ink from the flood Illumineers experienced in earlier sets, it’s an extremely powerful adversary that will take a lot of teamwork to thwart."Like the adventure stories fans love to watch on the big screen, the artwork for Attack of the Vine! is similarly inspired by previous cinematic summer blockbuster artwork. There is no better example of this than the Enchanted cards. The two rarest cards, the Iconics, follow suit while sporting additional foil treatments and movie-poster-esque art. Attack of the Vine! is all about teaming up, which is why the set’s Iconic cards are Lilo & Stitch – Fun-Loving Friends and Belle & Beast – Certain as the Sun.“Glimmers will have to team up to defeat the vine, and we wanted to show that mechanically with the new ways to Shift using the Team classification,” explained Steve Warner, co-creator of the game and Game Design Director at Ravensburger. “Team allows any character with the same name as one of the characters in the team to act as the shift base. This opens up a lot of options in the Infinity format, as well as providing a lot more options of what to shift on in Core Constructed.”With the prerelease of Attack of the Vine!, the competitive format used in Disney Lorcana Challenge and other official events will rotate cards out of being legally available to players to include in their decks. On July 17, 2026, only cards released in Fabled, Whispers in the Well, Winterspell, Wilds Unknown, and Attack of the Vine! will be legal in the Core Constructed format. All Disney Lorcana TCG cards (with one exception) will continue to be available to players in events using Infinity Constructed, including the recent Disney Lorcana Challenge events in Dortmund and Indianapolis.Disney Lorcana TCG fans have a lot to look forward to with events and exciting announcements planned at Gen Con 2026 from July 30 to August 2 and D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event starting on August 14, 2026. As for upcoming sets, Hyperia City invites fans to drop in for a beat and experience the music and magic of a bustling metropolis. This set prereleases on October 16, 2026 at Ravensburger Play Hub stores, where fans can experience the whole product line as well as the return of Prerelease Boxes. Mass release will follow a week later on October 23.Attack of the Vine! will be available everywhere on July 24. Preorders are now open at online retailers everywhere.
