    Milwaukee's Best (An American Movie/Coven 1999)

    Pour you a vodka and crank up the heavy meta for this one: the boys review a documentary about a horror movie that gets made for a movie that never gets made. Go ahead and read that again. I'll wait.  Your hosts Nate, David and Christian dive deep into birthday razors, the woes of filmmaking on a velcro budget, how skinny trailer park guys typically 'get the job done' and, well . . . Christian gives a shocking take on a film he loves and loses friends. Again. If you ever wanted to see a vodka-soaked documentary that's horror-adjacent, as quotable as Napoleon Dynamite, that's equal parts sad AND uplifting but with better stories about OD'ing . . . look no further than HFM's dizzying dive into the oddly heartwarming midwestern masterpiece that is 'An American Movie'.     HFM's 1st Halloween Roundtable

    Chomp down onto those fake fangs, tighten up that widow's peak and grab your pillowcase for a walk around the neighborhood with your hosts Nate, David & Christian along with special guests Horror Film Meetup Alum Chloe, Cass, Brandon, Andrea and Adrian as we comb over everything from our friends The Wiccans, our favorite candy, our favorite holiday-themed horror flicks, why growing up in Bed Stuy NY doesn't make for good trick or treating, why vanilla Tootsie Rolls irrefutably suck so bad (and Brandon is WRONG) to baby whiskey dicks. Yes, you read that right. Happy Halloween, y'all!! *This was a large roundtable discussion so apologies for some moments of poor audio as a few planes can be heard flying overhead during recording. Probably Big Brother keeping tabs on David's movements.*

    Family . . . what can we say . . . errr SAW! . . . errrrrrr Saw-yer! In this episode we get right down to the business of families that just. oughta. not. And why David's dad is probably our spirit animal, regardless of what decade he's in. From surfing station wagons to feeling your way around morgues, giving Urgent Care nurses the finger to finding his sea legs again - David's father Randy is the man we all wish we could be.
