How Should We Respond to Persecution? (Ep. 154)

2 Timothy 3:12 (NKJV) says. "Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution." Jesus reminded His disciples in John 15:18-20 (NKJV), "If the world hates you, you know that it hated Me before it hated you. If you were of the world, the world would love its own. Yet because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you. Remember the word that I said to you, ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you. If they kept My word, they will keep yours also." We will face persecution as Christians like Jesus did. How will you respond to the persecution you encounter? Will you be strong in the Lord? Will you remain steadfast and unmovable in your walk with Christ despite difficulty? Are you willing to count the cost for following Jesus? Will you take a stand for Christ regardless of what it costs you? Will you endure to the end waiting for the return of Christ? Don't give up, don't lose hope. Embrace and endure persecution.  In this episode, I will go over examples of how we will face persecution as Christ followers. Also, I will go over examples of those who faced persecution in scripture, and how we should biblically respond to persecution? Listen to this episode for more. The Greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven (Ep. 151)

"He sat down, called the twelve disciples over to him, and said, “Whoever wants to be first must take last place and be the servant of everyone else.” -Mark 9:35 NLT The Pharisees appeared “pious” on the outside, but their hearts were far from God. They were focused on titles, special greetings, seats of honor at banquets, and wearing elaborate robes, rather than living a life surrendered to Christ. Similarly, the disciples argued about who would be the greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven, failing to understand that true greatness in God’s Kingdom is not found in status, recognition, or position. True greatness is found in humility, selflessness, serving others, and being completely sold out for Christ and His Kingdom. Many people today pursue the “American Dream.” We strive for accolades, statistics, titles, fame, fortune, success, and recognition. Some even place their identity in these things, failing to realize that none of them can ultimately provide true fulfillment. Only Christ can. Where are you finding your identity? Are you pursuing recognition from the world, or are you pursuing Christ and His Kingdom? Listen to this episode for more. Lay Aside Every Weight, Look to Jesus (Ep. 148)

John 16:33 (NKJV) reminds us, "These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” In this episode, I will be discussing Hebrews 12:1–3 and what it means to “lay aside every weight” as we run the race God has set before us. Have you ever faced a weight in your life that, from a human perspective, seemed difficult to overcome—whether it was an addiction, a difficult family dynamic, emotional trauma, unforgiveness/resentment, or something else? God is faithful to help us through every challenge, but we must look to Jesus, draw closer to Him, and continue running the race with endurance. You don’t have to carry those burdens on your own—surrender them to Christ. God never promised that we would avoid difficulty in this life, but He did promise that "He would never leave us nor forsake us" as Hebrews 13:5 reminds us. Keep your eyes on Jesus, lay aside what is weighing you down, and continue running the race with faith and perseverance enduring to the end. "And everyone who competes for the prize is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a perishable crown, but we for an imperishable crown." -1 Corinthians 9:25 NKJV Join me for more as I highlight the importance of looking to Jesus, who is the author and finisher of our faith to help us as we navigate in this journey called "life" with the leading and power of the Holy Spirit.
