David Ramsey’s Blue Bloods & Arrow Overlap | Nerdy Note

David Ramsey was Mayor Carter Poole on Blue Bloods and John Diggle on Arrow during overlapping years. That becomes even more interesting when you consider that the shows were produced in two different places and Arrow brought an entirely different level of physicality. This Nerdy Note looks at Ramsey’s unusual TV overlap and how the ongoing production cycle of network television adds another layer to the story. I also use Carrie Preston’s Elsbeth Season 4 as a current example of how a network series can still be filming while new episodes begin airing. 🎧 Watch or listen to the full Blue Bloods & Arrow: The David Ramsey Effect episode #129, available now on The Silly Nerdy and Wordy Podcast. https://spotifycreators-web.app.link/e/DJOINrT516b Carrie Preston - Elsbeth Threads Post https://www.threads.com/share/BAnJLTs8GX/ Line of Fire vs. Blue Bloods: Peter Krause Leads NBC’s New Federal Family Drama https://spotifycreators-web.app.link/e/fbUiLTwLI6b Boston Blue | 1st Nerdy Impressions https://spotifycreators-web.app.link/e/oNnUrdOy36b Gloria Reuben on Boston Blue & Elsbeth | Nerdy Casting Breakdown https://spotifycreators-web.app.link/e/flT16bOy36b TV News Roundup | NCIS, MobLand & Netflix Updates https://spotifycreators-web.app.link/e/qBf2AL3y36b How TV Actors Become Producers After a Few Seasons | Explained https://spotifycreators-web.app.link/e/xDAXSN3y36b Produced by Kruboy Productions LLC Spotify (Video & Audio Episodes) https://open.spotify.com/show/0cwGe1womRnW5P9ptUDoM0 TikTok https://www.tiktok.com/@nerdypodcaster124 My 2nd channel Kruboy Productions Presents Nerdy Notes https://www.youtube.com/@KruboyProductionsPresentsNerdy 📝 Check out my Blog now on SubStack https://substack.com/@nerdypodcaster124 #davidramsey #arrow #arrowverse #tv #behindthescenes #elsbeth #tvproduction #nccu #kruboyproductions #sillynerdywordypodcast Media by Pond5 Elsbeth IMDB Page https://www.imdb.com/title/tt26591110/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_0_tt_1_nm_7_in_0_q_elsbetg DAVID RAMSEY'S IMDB PAGE https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0708981/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_0_tt_0_nm_8_in_0_q_DAVID%20RAMS Arrow IMDB Page https://www.imdb.com/title/tt2193021/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_0_tt_7_nm_1_in_0_q_ARROW Blue Bloods IMDB Page https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1595859/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_0_tt_6_nm_2_in_0_q_blue%20bloods

Blue Bloods & Arrow: The David Ramsey Effect | Mayor Carter Poole John Diggle

How did David Ramsey balance two very different hit network TV shows during overlapping years? In Episode #129 of The Silly Nerdy and Wordy Podcast, I take a nerdy look at Blue Bloods & Arrow: The David Ramsey Effect—exploring Ramsey’s time as Mayor Carter Poole on Blue Bloods while also starring as John Diggle/Spartan on Arrow. From New York City to Vancouver, this episode looks at the behind-the-scenes logistics that potentially came with working across both shows, including different characters, dialogue, blocking, physical demands, and Ramsey’s involvement in the increasingly ambitious Arrowverse crossovers. It’s a look beyond the characters and into the work, coordination, and discipline involved in contributing to two successful television worlds during the same period. Buena Vista Social Club on Broadway brings the music, history, and atmosphere of Havana, Cuba to the stage — with 100% of the show's singing performed in Spanish. ***This Nerdy Review is from a Friday September 25th 2026 Live Performance that I attended in person*** In this episode of The Nerdy Review, I share my spoiler-filled review after seeing Buena Vista Social Club live at the Durham Performing Arts Center (DPAC). I discuss the story moving between 1956 and 1996 Havana, standout vocal performances, the live Cuban musicians performing on stage, choreography, casting, lighting, and other production details that caught my attention. I also get into some of my favorite musical moments, including the percussion, guitar, flute, and piano solos, and why the Spanish-language performances helped make this such a unique Broadway experience. TENET’s Hallway Fight: Why It Took 4 Different Versions

TENET’s Hallway Fight: Why It Took 4 Different Versions One fight. Four different variations. In this Nerdy Note, I revisit the TENET Blu-ray special features and look at the work behind the movie’s unforgettable hallway fight. John David Washington had to learn and perform different versions of the sequence — forward and backward and from both sides of the fight — to help create the time-inverted scene we eventually see on screen. It’s a fascinating example of how much preparation can go into just a few minutes of a Christopher Nolan movie.
