    FBI Cracks Down on Violent Crime; Accord on AI Standards Signed | NTD Good Morning (Sept. 30)

    The FBI is touting the results of its Operation Summer Heat 2.0 crackdown, which ran from June first to August 31st. The bureau says the operation included increased enforcement in cities across the country, with arrests rising by as much as 80% in some locations. Director Kash Patel says the bureau is focusing on preventing violent crime before it happens. President Trump and several major technology company, such as Google, Anthropic, Meta, and OpenAI signed a voluntary accord outlining new controls for artificial intelligence. The companies signing the accord agreed that if they are developing advanced AI models they'll monitor their systems for risks including cybersecurity, biosecurity and chemical threats. President Trump is launching a 32-day tour to support Republican nominees during the final stretch to the midterms. The president's campaign travel was planned well in advance. Last December, White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles said most administrations try to keep a sitting president out of the midterms, but this one would not. The president is also making a pledge to voters. He says if the GOP keeps both the House and Senate, every adult U.S. citizen will receive a $5,000 cash dividend.

    Johnson Launches Final Midterm Sprint; Largest U.S. Steel Plant Reveal | NTD Good Morning (Sept. 29)

    Election Day is just five weeks away and Republicans are hoping to keep control of the House through the end of President Trump’s term. Such a case has not happened since 2002. Speaker of the House Mike Johnson is trying to turn that around, by kicking off a 22-state blitz, where he plans to campaign in Democrat held districts. Johnson says he’s confident that the trend of the Democratic Socialist of America backed candidates taking wins, will help boost their chances of keeping control of the House. President Trump announcing on Monday, that the largest steel mill in the U.S. will be opening in Iowa. There will be $15 billion in investments going into this mill and the White House is saying that this new project could create over 1,700 permanent jobs and 6,000 construction jobs. Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick doubling down on this newest investment, saying that it was only made possible by tariffs. The Senate has passed the Protect College Sports Act on Tuesday night, a sweeping bill that would establish nationwide rules for college athletics. The bill is sponsored by Senator Ted Cruz, and would create a nationwide standard for name, image and likeness rules and exempt the NCAA from antitrust laws. It would allow athletes five seasons of eligibility within five years and limit them to one transfer during their college careers. President Trump says the Act will not only save college sports, but will save the colleges themselves.

    Nor'easter Floods Coastal Communities; Talks with Iran Could Resume | NTD Good Morning (Sept. 28)

    A powerful nor’easter is flooding coastal communities across the Northeast, with heavy rain, strong winds, and dangerous surf. A state of emergency in effect for New York City, coastal areas of New Jersey, and Long Island. Forecasters say a high pressure system will bring drier, warmer weather by Tuesday. While this storm's impact has been nowhere near that, it could be the first of several along the East Coast this fall, driven by a strong El Niño climate pattern. President Donald Trump said on Sunday he expects talks with Iran to start up again this week, while declining to rule out military strikes before the midterm elections. Last week, the president rejected a seven-day proposal to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, saying it did not meet his expectations. The president also said yesterday that a record amount of oil was safely transported through the Strait of Hormuz the previous night. The Trump administration is defending its decision to limit some media access to the White House and Air Force One. Attorney General Todd Blanche said Trump made the decision to restrict media access after “years and years of one-sided media coverage.” A federal judge last week ordered the White House to temporarily restore press credentials for CNN, MS NOW, and Politico. However, the ruling did not directly address access to Air Force One.

    Calling for an End to Persecution; Hurricane Polo Hits Pacific Coast | NTD Good Morning (Sept. 25)

    Demonstrators set up all throughout Washington D.C. to call for an end to China’s religious oppression, including practitioners of Falun Dafa, a spiritual practice rooted in Buddhist tradition. This as President Trump hosts Chinese regime leader Xi Jinping at the White House for the third day. Congress recognizes the urgent need to end this persecution, and has taken steps to address it on a national and global scale. Hurricane Polo is pounding Mexico’s Pacific coast with heavy rain and powerful waves. Mexican authorities have deployed 15,000 security personnel, opened shelters and evacuated residents from high-risk areas. The National Hurricane Center warns Polo’s heavy rain could cause life-threatening flooding and landslides, with dangerous surf, rip currents and coastal flooding also possible. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed the U.N. General Assembly on Thursday, explaining that Israel has been involved in a 7-front war for the past three years. Netanyahu also spoke on the accomplishments on the Israel Defense Forces and that ‘with our great American friends, we crushed Iran's army, navy, air force, and nuclear facilities.’

    Prisoners of Conscience Light up Buildings; Trade Truce Extended | NTD Good Morning (Sept. 24)

    Chinese regime leader Xi Jinping is in Washington now for a three day summit with President Trump. That’s as families of victims of the Chinese Communist Party’s brutal oppression are speaking out. The Human Rights Foundation projected the faces of eight prisoners of conscience were projected onto buildings in the heart of the nation’s capital. The foundation says The Human Rights Foundation says the goal is to make the public aware of Xi's human rights abuses. President Trump and Chinese regime leader Xi Jinping are expected to discuss pressing global and bilateral issues, from rare earth shipments to trade frictions. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent also telling Fox News that the U.S. and China have agreed to extend the trade truce known as the Busan Agreement until January 10th. U.S. officials have criticized Beijing for failing to live up to its commitments, while Bessent saying some deliverables have not been perfect. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is set to speak at the United Nations General Assembly in New York on Thursday. He said he would use his speech to defend Israel’s military actions in Gaza. He also accused New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani of supporting the Hamas terror group. Israel's ambassador to the U.N. saying earlier this month that Netanyahu would make a 24 hour visit to the General Assembly despite calls for his arrest from the International Criminal Court. Students from several Jewish schools say they are planning a prayer vigil outside the mayor's official residence on Friday in support of Israel and Netanyahu.

    Trump Signs Greenland Deal; Trump Urges Action Against Narco-Terrorism | NTD Good Morning (Sept. 23)

    President Trump signed an agreement with the leaders of Denmark and Greenland on Tuesday at the U.N. summit in New York. This deal would expand U.S. military presence on the island, and allow the buildup of multiple U.S. military bases. This would work to prevent adversaries like Russia and China from gaining a strategic foothold there. President Trump met with 14 Latin American and Caribbean nations in the Shield of the Americas, a coalition targeting narco-terrorism, calling on them to take strong action. A joint statement from participating governments says they intend to coordinate sanctions, asset freezes, visa restrictions and other measures against the groups. Missouri's congressional map is back at the Supreme Court, as challengers look to the justices to block the map for November’s midterm elections. A federal appeals court again ordered the map reinstated, despite two earlier SCOTUS orders. The map gives Republicans an additional seat and it’s the third time this month the dispute has reached the high court.

    Trump to Address U.N.; Trump & Mamdani Discuss Affordable Housing | NTD Good Morning (Sept. 22)

    President Trump will be addressing the U.N. General Assembly on Tuesday, before a series of meetings with world leaders. He’s also expected to sign a Greenland security agreement with the Prime Minister of Denmark and Greenland. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is also in New York for the General Assembly and is expected to meet with President Trump. The president's schedule also includes bilateral meetings with the leaders of Britain and Japan, as well as a meeting with Gulf Cooperation Council leaders. New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani and President Trump met at Gracie Mansion to talk about affordable housing. A new project in Sunnyside Yards could bring thousands of homes to the city. According to the project plan, the proposed development includes housing, parks, schools, retail and community facilities. Mayor Mamdani says he asked the president for $21 billion in federal grants for the project back in February. Missouri's congressional districts remain unsettled just weeks before the midterms. A federal appeals panel ruling on Monday that Missouri should use its 2025 map, giving Republicans a 7-1 edge. That would mean the same map lines used in the August primary. But a September 10th Supreme Court stay still blocks that order, keeping the 2022 map in place unless the justices act again. That map has a 6-2 GOP edge. The 8th Circuit panel called the 2022 map unconstitutional, but paused its ruling until September 28th to allow an appeal.

    Waltz Warns Nations Defying Sanctions; Trump to Meet World Leaders | NTD Good Morning (Sept. 21)

    The U.S. is pushing for tougher international enforcement of sanctions against Iran, as UN Ambassador Mike Waltz says Washington is seeking global cooperation, while warning of possible escalation in the region. European and Asian partners have largely declined to join President Trump’s efforts in the Iran war. Waltz says the administration remains focused on preventing Iran from using its nuclear program as leverage. Nearly 130 heads of state are meeting in New York for the United Nations General Assembly this week, as President Trump is expected to arrive for ‘political events’ at Trump Tower Monday evening. He will also be meeting with New York City Zohran Mamdani at Gracie Mansion, as well as French President Emmanuel Macron. He also has meetings scheduled with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who said in a social media post on Sunday that that the meeting could change a lot. Denmark, Greenland and the U.S. are set to sign a new security agreement tomorrow. Copenhagen is saying it would put Arctic security under NATO's watch. The agreement follows months of pressure from President Trump, who says Greenland is vital to U.S. security. The text of the deal has not yet been made public. President Trump says the deal gives the U.S. permanent control over Greenland’s security.
