Haunted Cosmos

As a reformed, highly conservative, patriarchal male, these gentlemen are poor representatives of these views. Even more so of the Christian witness. I have felt more and more embarrassed by them. It makes sense, though. Scripture warns us: “[Do not] devote [yourselves] to myths and endless genealogies. Such things promote controversial speculations rather than advancing God’s work—which is by faith.” (‭‭1 Timothy‬ ‭1‬:‭4‬) What spirit is working inside these men? I hope it’s the Holy Spirit. Even so, these men need a lot more wisdom. I think they both said it well themselves: this podcast is for the boys. That’s right—boys. It’s not for men. Not spiritually mature ones, at least. Oh! Or women…

5 stars for the boys. This is a glorious podcast that is clearly defined by humor and knowledge. I appreciate the linguistic forte that these two gentlemen bring to the table. It is perfectly sliced with humor and horribly funny accents. There have been countless times I am driving home and am audibly laughing out loud at the “your mom” jokes or delightfully timed accents. Do not be easily offended when listening and enjoy the journey, worth every second of it.

Used to be a great show. There’s far better content out there, give those your clicks. A lot of their content is just ripped off of Richard Rohlin and Symbolic World; go listen to that actual content. Lord of Spirits and Blurry Creatures are of much higher caliber, content, and character.

This podcast has gone off the rails. Anti Jewish sentiment. Anti woman sentiment (yes, I know they’re “joking” but it’s in poor taste). And then the ongoing thinking that if you’re not reformed you’re not correct is ridiculous. The latest guest literally said, “I was saved but I wasn’t reformed”. Then there was the making fun of everything Bethel … Bethel has some serious issues. It’s concerning, but there are legitimate Godly men’s and women there, and they should be treated with respect. The arrogance is unbelievable and definitely unbiblical.
