Prior to coming to USD in 2013, she taught at Arizona State University Business School and in the School of Public Administration. While at ASU she was director of the MBA program at ASU’s West campus, director of University College, associate dean of University College and of the College of Public Programs. Prior to joining ASU, she was an assistant professor of Human Resources Management at Northeastern University in Boston.   Most recently, she served as Chair of the Department of Leadership Studies at the University of San Diego. She is the winner of several teaching awards, including ASU’s 2004 Professor of the Year and is the author of several books, including The Cultural Mindset: Managing People Across Cultures, and is the coauthor of Organizational Behavior.
