unCovering the Birds with Jeff McLane

I love Jeff McLean and David Murphy’s content. I go to this pod first whenever I see it posted. But, with great respect, in some pods, and especially in this episode, Jeff and David stammer so much that it’s really hard to listen to. Especially David.

[Update September 18 2026] If anyone reading this would like evidence for everything I said in the original review about Jeff McLane and the cringeworthy Eagles fanboys who are so intellectually stunted, emotionally offended, and pathetically outraged because he has the unmitigated gall to do things like presenting impeccably sourced irrefutable facts, look no further than the reviews of this podcast from anonymous12349, Jones4al, flick181, and the rest of the delicate little snowflakes who have infested our culture. The most hilarious part is they don’t even realize how pathetic they are in the eyes of literally 100% of grown-ups who possess a shred of objectivity. [End of update] We’ve become a society that is accustomed to believing the sole purpose of media/journalism is finding someone who does nothing more than give us new reasons to reaffirm our beliefs/biases. The result of that belief is a rapidly collapsing society. Obviously I’m not going to pretend sports media carries anything close to the gravitas of political/social media.. But the reason I say that is bc I respect and seek out any journalist(including sports) who ticks people off with their good faith perspectives/opinions. And there is no better example of that in the entirety of Philadelphia sports media than Jeff.. Which is why I subbed without even thinking about it.

Down the road? The end of the block? More often than not, listening to your sensational bs makes me less likely to subscribe to the Inquirer.

Jeff, great content. POD way better when you have a guest and you don’t literally read from a script.
