Easily one of the top film podcasts out there. As someone who has probably consumed more film conversation than film itself, its very hard to find the right blend of film talk and integration of one’s own unique personality and voice. Stacy and Ed strike the perfect balance between casual cinema-goer interests and knowledgeable film scholar lingo to where any range of film fan can enjoy it. As someone who considers themselves more of the latter, I love the in depth conversations here, but I also don’t think this would be alienating for a newer, emerging film fan as well (especially since Stacy and Ed take us through their OWN film journey year by year at the start of each podcast). The most vital ingredient in any duo podcast is chemistry, and Stacy and Ed clearly have that in droves. The back and forth is great, sometimes playfully sassy, always engaging, not a second of dead air wasted (a sin in the world of podcasting). Take a listen, it’ll be worth your time.
