We thank God for another time in His presence, we thank God for continually teaching us from His word about how to remain on His side and not get carried away with the worldly ways. Today, God has another discussion with us which is, if we want to be for Him, we should be for Him truly and wholly. We can't say our hearts is for God when on the outward we decorate ourselves with things that have been sacrificed to idols, thereby defiling our bodies which is the temple of God, the spirit of the devil has access to the body of the person using their materials, the Spirit of God is not a Spirit of strive, He won't try to fight the other dirty spirit, but the Spirit of God will leave and allow the demonic spirit to dwell in the heart of the person who is using materials that have been sacrificed to idols. God wants to be our God alone. God does not want to compete with any god for our attention, there is a lot of judgement in the bible on those who serve idols, we don't want to incur the wrath of God on ourselves, we want God's mercies that transcends generations to be upon us and our generations. So therefore, don't give chance for subtle ways that looks harmless to allow ourselves to be serving idols or to become abominable to God. The instructions of God is clear, thou shall have no other God beside me, using things that were sacrificed to other gods is most definitely a subtle way of bowing down to that idol. Or accepting the presence of the idol in our lives. God doesn't want that. Another thing for us to know is that, many of these things have their roots among demons who continually want to do things to make God angry. If we say we love God, why do we need to do things to make God angry, many people go to the demonic world to seek fame, money, power or wealth and the devil gives them in exchange for their souls and in exchange for them doing things to dishonour our body and recruiting more people to do same, they also make them do things that make God angry, just wanting to condemn the works of God and saying He was not perfect. People who follow them to do these things are punished for the sins also. Thereby leading many people to hell fire daily. They are in the church now, showing off that so far as you sing gospel songs, what you put on yourself doesn't matter, it matters people of God. These things are possessed by spirit of fornication and adultery, they are defiling the church of God. God is not pleased with people who allow themselves to carry defiling materials into his house to pervert believers and also destroy God's plan for marriages. Because when seduction is the start of marriage, there won't be true love, the man will be attracted to the woman for what he can get from her and this is not God's plan for marriage, marriage should be true love that is selfless and about what you want to do to make the other person better and comfortable and not just caring about how to satisfy yourself alone and using the other person without loving them genuinely. May God plant His words on our hearts. Amen.
