    S2 E23 - Slither | 20th Anniversary | Sup? Media Reviews Podcast | Season 2 Finale

This week on Sup? Media Reviews, host Kiara is joined by returning guest and little sister Arabia to close out the April Fools comedy anniversary series with a genre twist. The season two finale brings a horror comedy into the mix โ€” Slither, the 2006 film celebrating its twentieth anniversary this year. Yes, horror comedy absolutely counts as part of the series! Kiara and Arabia are diving into what makes this creature feature a hidden gem, why it holds up better than most films from its era, and the surprisingly deep life lesson tucked underneath all the chaos, tentacles, and small town mayhem. Plus Arabia is watching it for the very first time, and Kiara is revisiting it twenty years later with fresh eyes. Slither into the season finale and hear what they had to say! ๐Ÿ“‹ MEET THE GUESTS ๐ŸŽฎ Arabia | SolarSiren7 - Arabia is Kiara's little sister and a recurring fan favorite guest on Sup? Media Reviews. When she's not dropping hot takes on film, she's over on Twitch playing cozy games and currently in the beta for Loftia. S2 E22 - Don't Be A Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood | 30th Anniversary | Sup? Media Reviews Podcast

This week on Sup? Media Reviews, we're celebrating the 30th anniversary of Don't Be a Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood โ€” the latest stop in our April Fools comedy anniversary series. The Wayans brothers took the hood films that defined early 90s Black cinema โ€” Boyz n the Hood, Menace II Society, Juice, & more โ€” and flipped them completely on their head. But does it still hold up 30 years later? We're getting into the cultural legacy of the Wayans family, why this film is unapologetically made for a specific audience, what that 80% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes is really telling us, and whether this comedy classic is worth revisiting in 2026. ๐Ÿ“ Note: This episode was originally planned as a review of Girl 6 (1996) โ€” but due to licensing issues surrounding Prince's estate, the film is virtually unavailable to stream in the US. We made the pivot and have zero regrets. ๐ŸŽง About Sup? Media Reviews ๐ŸŽ™๏ธ Sup? S2 E19 - Mean Girls | Sup? Media Reviews Podcast

"She doesn't even go here." But you do โ€” and that means you have excellent taste. ๐ŸŽ€ This week on Sup? Media Reviews, Kiara is joined by her sisters Arabia and Savanna for a full review of the 2004 cult classic Mean Girls. Written by Tina Fey and featuring Lindsay Lohan, Rachel McAdams, Amanda Seyfried, and one of the most iconic casts of the 2000s โ€” this one is personal. We break the movie down from setup to climax, get into the casting facts you might not know, and have a real conversation about what makes this film a classic and what hasn't aged so gracefully. We also share how this movie became a genuine bonding moment for the three of us โ€” and why we're still quoting it to this day. By the end, we weigh in on the Rotten Tomatoes scores, give our personal ratings, and answer the two questions we ask every episode: is it worth a rewatch, and does it still hold up? We want to hear from you too โ€” drop your favorite quote from the movie in the comments, and let us know whether you think Mean Girls still holds up in 2026. ๐Ÿ‘‡ ๐Ÿ”” Next up on Sup?
