    Sleep Talker (2021)

    Welcome to the Horror Agenda. This week we will be covering the 2021 short film Sleep Talker. Written by Sarah Emery and Carl Firth and directed by Carl Firth.  You can watch the short here.     Demon Twink (2025)

    Mikey (1992)

    Welcome to the Horror Agenda and this week we cover the 1992 horror film Mikey directed by Dennis Dimster. Victor recommends the Locked Door (2021) by Freida McFadden is a psychological thriller about a surgeon who finds out a patient is killed in the same way her father, a serial killer, killed people.  Carlos recommends Desert Hearts (1985) directed by Donna Deitch about an uptight professor getting a Reno divorce finds herself attracted to the free-spirited Cay.  He also recommends You, Me & Tuscany (2026) a rom com directed by Kat Coiro about a woman who escapes to Tuscany and gets caught in highjinks and pretends to be engaged, while falling for her 'fiance's' brother.  Beware Spoilers.     Night of the Slasher (2015)

    I Know What You Did Last Summer (1997)

    I know what you did last summer. Which coincidentally is also the title of the film we're covering. That's right, this week on the Horror Agenda we are covering 1997's I Know What You Did Last Summer directed by Jim Gillespie and written by Kevin Williamson based on the novel by Lois Duncan.  We reference this piece where Jennifer Love Hewitt explains that scene.  This week Carlos recommends the Bechdel Cast an intersectional film podcasts he has recommended before (and been on twice).     Scream (1996)

    What's Your Favorite Scary Movie? This week on the Horror Agenda we cover Scream (1996) which of course features Ghost Face impressions and some of his one liners. We get into the historicity, the meta nature and allude to where the franchise is.  Scream (1996) is directed by Wes Craven and written by Kevin Williamson. We reference the DVD writer and director commentary often in this episode.  This week Victor recommends Pleastantville (1998) directed by Gary Ross, a film where two siblings find themselves in a 1950s sitcom that slowly begins getting color.  Carlos recommends checking out the Go Fund Me for B-Horror Boys, my first short film. He also recommends Departing Seniors (2023) directed by Clare Cooney, about a bullied teen the week of graduation who gets psychic powers as a slasher starts picking off graduating seniors.   He also recommends Demon Twink (2025) a short horror comedy written and directed by Steven George about a middle aged gay man offered a deal from a demon with disastrous consequences.  Beware Spoilers.     Stay Alive (2006)

    Welcome Back to the Horror Agenda! Today we are covering the 2006 film Stay Alive, directed by William Brent Bell and cowritten by him and Matthew Peterman.  Victor watched the Unrated version and Carlos watched the Theatrical Cut. For the differences (beyond what we discuss in the episode) check out this site.  For more on how Elizabeth Bathory has been continually maligned what we know about her being incorrect, check out You're Wrong About...Elizabeth Bathory with Princess Weekes.  This week Victor recommends Sleepy Hollow (1999) directed by Tim Burton, a dark retelling of the legend of sleepy hollow.  Victor also recommends Fire Force (2019 - ) a show about superhumans who use their power to fight fires.  Carlos recommends the short films he saw at the Brooklyn Museum Pride Night with Brooklyn Film Festival. First he recommends Coyotes (2025) directed by Said Zagha, a film about a Palestinian surgeon who has a night that will change everything.  He also recommends the animated comedy Tuna Tartare (2025) directed by Lena Greene about a can of tuna come to life that lives in post-apocalytipic LA and runs a karaoke bar.  He also recommends Newbies (2025) directed by Kimiko Matsuda-Lawrence and Megan Trufant Tillman, is a beautiful and poetic drama about two people meeting on their queer journey exploring how they got here.  Carlos' final recommendation of the week is Anatomy of a F*ckboy (2025) directed by Fatimah Asghar, a mockumentary about a woman trying to tell the story of Eli only to be duped by him and tell the story of a f*****y.  Beware Spoilers.     Idle Hands (1999)

    1999 called and we answered. Welcome to the Horror Agenda as we cover the 1999 film Idle Hands directed by Rodman Flender and cowritten by Terri Hughes Burton and Ron Milbauer. We reference the possibility of a remake from the directors of Hell of a Summer. We also reference this LA Times piece about the weekend of Idle Hands' release. The film celebrated it's 20th anniversary and the cast came together in this brief clip. While we do not get into it in this episode we reference Sarah Marshall's podcast The Devil You Know, a podcast about the Satanic Panic.  This week Victor and Carlos have a joint recommendation. They recommend Pretty Lethal (2026) directed by Vicky Jewson. The film is about a group of ballerinas who end up in an inn owned by a former ballerina and have to use their skills to fight for their survival.  Beware Spoilers.
