"A Teacher With Presents" discusses what students need and the gifts that a teacher can give them to help them satisfy those needs. Over the course of nine chapters, I share stories and memories from my four decades in the classroom and what I learned about the interaction between teaching and learning as well as the vital importance of building a nurturing culture. And even though I have been retired for six years, I take you back in time and guide you through my teaching as it happened from day to day, year to year.
