The military members that flew a military helicopter to Kid Rock’s house were suspended but then un-suspended. We asked people what weird punishments their parents gave them as kids.     Karly went to the movies, saw Project Hail Mary, and loved it. Joey is currently listening to the audiobook.  Joey found an online calculator/calendar that will make you feel old. You input your birthday, and it will tell you past events that are closer to your birth date than the present.   Nancy tried to help rescue an injured turkey on the side of the road. She considered putting it in the back of her car to drive it to a vet.   Nerd News! Putting googly eyes on food packaging can help prevent seagulls from trying to steal it. Scientists discovered that sperm whales have midwives/doulas. A new fingernail polish is in the works to make nails work on touch screen devices.   Hot Tea: Dolly Parton donated an enormous amount of money to Dolly Parton Children’s Hospital (formerly East TN East TN Children’s Hospital). The government is investigating why a military helicopter flew by Kid Rock’s house in Nashville.     The Vols lost in the Elite 8 game last night.   Nancy has to teach her class at UT tonight, but realized she accidentally skipped this week when planning. She has no idea what she’s going to teach about tonight.  New protein hack – put yogurt in your coffee. Nancy and Karly think that sounds nasty. Nancy wishes there was a protein pill.   Monday Morning Wake Up Call with 8-Year-Old Ellis  Joey’s wife Jhasta made “the biggest donation in program history” to his kids’ theater program at school. He found out when the head of the department came up and thanked him for it. He had no clue what she was talking about. Jhasta told him that she paid $285 for a bunch of reserved seats for their son’s play.   Hot Tea: Tiger Woods was in a car crash and arrested for a suspected DUI. Savannah Guthrie announced that she is returning to the Today Show. Thieves stole 12 tons of KitKat bars.   Dollywood ticket giveaway! She thinks it went well, but she’s still nervous. The sales associate was not the nicest to them; she wouldn’t let Nancy flip through the physical dresses and told her to sit down multiple times. Nancy was very upset that their first shopping experience was not very good.   Joey finally let his kids watch Napoleon Dynamite, and they’ve been quoting it all weekend. It backfired on Joey when his 9-year-old told Jhasta, “Tina, eat, you fat lard!” He was trying to tell her lunch was ready and he wanted to be funny.   A man and his son have been banned from donating sperm after they have fathered over 600 children combined.   See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
