    Joey and Nancy Full Show 10-19-26

    Joey and Nancy kicked off the morning celebrating Tennessee’s big win over Alabama. Nancy shared her first real Vol Navy experience aboard the Tennessee Star riverboat and was blown away by the massive boats, tailgating scene, and the price tags floating on the river.  The show debated the new Tesla Roadster after Joey discovered videos of it jumping over vehicles, flipping through the air, and sticking to upside-down track sections using vacuum technology. Nancy was convinced it looked like AI at first until she learned the demonstrations were real.  Monday Morning Wake Up Call   Nancy opened up about her best friend recently learning she’ll need chemotherapy for breast cancer. Not knowing exactly what to say, Nancy immediately offered to shave her head in support and later put together a chemo basket filled with funny gifts, coloring books, and a “Slap-at-Sam” stress doll.  Hot Tea: Miley Cyrus got emotional talking about Dolly Parton and a special Hollywood Bowl memory. Zach Bryan revealed he realized he had a drinking problem during a cross-country motorcycle trip and is now sober. Kim Kardashian admitted her closet is nearly 8,000 square feet and holds more than 30,000 pieces of clothing.  Lucky 7 for Dollywood tickets  Producer Karly shocked Joey and Nancy by announcing she officially has a boyfriend. After meeting Luke on Hinge about a month ago and going on seven dates, she deleted the app and made the relationship official over the weekend. Listeners immediately started submitting questions for Luke, who is scheduled to join the show.  Joey and Nancy discussed a Texas wedding venue refusing to refund a family after the groom passed away months before the wedding date. Nancy, speaking from her experience owning a wedding venue, called the situation heartbreaking and said she would have refunded the family every dime.  Joey shared a stressful Sunday morning after discovering there was no hot water in the house. Convinced something might be wrong with the gas water heater, he called KUB only to learn utility crews had accidentally left the gas turned off after recent work in the neighborhood.     Joey & Nancy Full Show 10-16-26

    The show started with Nancy trying to prove she could stay quiet after Joey complained about her and Karly's “good morning” routine. She made it about 17 seconds before jumping right back into the conversation.  Joey shared the saga of his new electric scooter, which tops out around 18 mph. After letting the boys ride it, one accidentally launched it across the driveway, leading Joey to secretly touch up the scratches with a Sharpie before his wife found out.  Today's Boo Us and Win winner was Colby, who answered the phone with “Boo!” and scored Dollywood Harvest Festival tickets, tasting passes, and Harvey’s Boo Bash tickets.  Hot Tea: A body language expert weighed in on Kelly Clarkson’s toy store controversy, Warren Zeiders met a fan who had unknowingly been talking to a scammer, and Nancy shared a story about couples taking pole dancing classes together as a relationship-building activity.  Emily Ann Roberts joined the show from Dollywood, where massive crowds have been lining up for her performances. She talked about her new EP Thread, how the title track came from a difficult career moment, and admitted she sometimes wears disguises around Dollywood to avoid being recognized.  Mike Keith stopped by to preview Tennessee vs. Alabama, talk about the Third Saturday in October tradition, and show off his SEC mascot knowledge during a rapid-fire game.  Lucky 7 for $50 to The Diners at Twisters   Joey surprised Nancy by praising her mental health speech instead of critiquing it.     Joey accepted an electric scooter from a friend despite his wife's concerns, and it's now sitting in the garage waiting for him to take it for a spin.  Nancy admitted she's stressing over her stepdaughter Catie's sorority Parents Weekend at UT. Between line dancing, Vol Navy, and outfit shopping, she's worried about embarrassing Catie, while Joey insists she's overthinking it.  Jeff won Dollywood Harvest Festival tickets, tasting passes, and Boo Bash tickets by answering the phone with "Boo!"  Hot Tea: The man accused of kicking the head off the Smokey statue outside Neyland Stadium was arrested and charged with felony vandalism. UT has already placed a replacement statue while repairs are underway. Hilary Swank is expecting another baby at 52, which led to a conversation about age gaps, graduation years, and feeling old. A woman in New Hampshire was accidentally locked inside an urgent care overnight after staff forgot she was waiting in an exam room.  During "Who Let the Bots Out," Joey shared stories about AI researchers taking up smoking because they believe AI will cure cancer, AI-confusing Hawaiian shirts, and a dating background-check service called "Stud or Dud."  Lucky 7 for $50 to The Diner at Twister's  Nancy talked about her upcoming mental health speech and got even more nervous after learning Joey plans to evaluate it using "data-driven" feedback and AI analysis.  Facebook Marketplace Price Is Right featured a canine knee model, Wendy's hamburger coasters, a homemade "Spamjo," a baby doll deer-bone necklace, and a giant talking Jolly Green Giant display.  Group Therapy centered on a father whose only son took his wife's last name after getting married.     Joey talked about planning Marvin’s 10th birthday, including go-kart racing, roller skates, and a free electric scooter that Joey might secretly want more than his son.  Hot Tea: Kelly Clarkson’s feud with a toy store escalated after the store listed a decorative bird for $15 million, Dolly Parton’s nephew responded to allegations from her estate, and Megan Moroney told fans not to call their exes just because of her songs.  Josh won Dollywood Harvest Festival tickets during “Boo Us and Win” by answering the phone with “Boo.”   For Redneck Wednesday, listeners shared wild homemade vehicles, including a drivable porta potty, a Volkswagen Rabbit turned into a pickup truck, and a loveseat mounted across two electric scooters.  Lucky 7 for $50 to The Diner at Twister's  Joey and Nancy revisited the Riley Green and Ella Langley debate. Joey felt Riley wasn’t intentionally taking credit for Ella’s success, while Nancy thought his comments came across that way.  Nancy shared the story of losing her patience with a contractor after multiple garage-installation delays.     Joey and Nancy traded sleep-deprived stories after Nancy’s husband accidentally tried to kick her out of bed, thinking she was the family bulldog, Brisket.  Karly returned from vacation and admitted she cried after discovering the Griffith Observatory gift shop had already closed. After a long trip with no alone time, missing out on a space-themed souvenir was apparently the breaking point.  Connie called the show to tell Nancy how much she loves her and said Nancy brightens her day. Joey jokingly tried to compete for Connie’s attention but had no chance.  “Boo Us and Win” took several tries before listener Allison finally answered the phone with “Boo!” and won Dollywood Harvest Festival tickets, tasting passes, and Harvey’s Boo Bash passes.  Hot Tea: A family dispute involving a relative of Dolly Parton brought police to her Nashville property earlier this year, Tom Cruise’s new movie “Digger” is struggling badly at the box office, and a 94-year-old Chicago billionaire keeps getting cited for feeding expensive nuts to neighborhood rats.  In Nerd News, scientists created cookie ingredients from recycled plastic bottles, researchers studied a T-Rex trackway that showed the dinosaur walking about 1.6 mph, and a company is developing gene-edited peanuts to help reduce allergen risks.  Lucky 7 for $50 to the Diner at Twisters.  Joey and Nancy compared temperament types and discovered they’re exactly who everyone thought they were: Joey is analytical and thoughtful, while Nancy is energetic, spontaneous, and ready to jump into any idea.  The show also discussed the tragic roller coaster accident at Six Flags Over Georgia and agreed nobody should ever complain about ride maintenance delays again.  Group Therapy centered on a listener whose coworkers wanted everyone to chip in $30 for a divorce gift.
