    Creating Your Own Path - with Liane Strub

    YFMA listeners, this episode was so special! Liane is an English teacher in the Bay Area that Drij met on a party bus during a mutual friend's wedding weekend.     Is Age Even Real?

    In this delightful episode with Joey Weamer, the idea of aging as an athlete paves way for some deeply vulnerable conversation about the idea of aging as a whole. Joey breaks down his beliefs and fears about aging as a male in his mid-forties. He gives us a sense of how his perspective on aging as an athlete has changed over the years and speaks to navigating self-limiting beliefs and overcoming self-fulfilling negativity. Joey walks your hosts, Drij and Kelly, through the experience of growing up in the culture of extreme sports in the 90's and the machoism that fills/ed that space and how he navigated, and continues to navigate, his sense of vulnerability.     Be Where You Are - with Adam Gossett

    In Episode 5, we welcome Drij's good friend, Adam Gossett to the show. This one is a fun and vibrant conversation. Growing up in LA in the 80's, Adam recognizes the moment that his life trajectory changed from that of his friends. This heartfelt recount of his life path will entertain and get you thinking about your own diversions and "alternate" lives that "could have been". Adam shows vulnerability in the way he speaks to aging and taking big leaps throughout the years. We can all relate to starting anew, to finally standing up for yourself and taking control of your path. There are some nuggets in here so dive in and get lost in conversation.     In this kick-off episode, Andrija (Drij) and Kelly introduce themselves and why they decided to embark on this wildly complex and deeply personal topic. Drij speaks to her childhood fear of change and how she associated that with getting older. One day, she hears On Being podcast host, Krista Tippett say, "Everybody doesn't become an elder. Some people just get old." which starts her off on this journey to understand what that means. Kelly is a corporate woman turned life coach who recently embarked on her own journey to take control of her life and story. Drij and Kelly meet and begin a professional relationship turned friendship turned podcast co-host relationship...the rest is history.
