As the son of poor sharecroppers, Donnie grew up in the town of Bear Grass, a small town with no stoplights and less than one hundred people within the city limits. Donnie’s journey includes fifty plus years in law enforcement in North Carolina along with a long list of other accomplishments. His amazing story is truly inspirational and is one I’m excited to share with you today!

During the podcast we talk about John's life story and how he decided one day it was time to set out in a new direction to teach what he had learned to others. Unfortunately due to his lack of teaching experience, his only job offer was to teach entrepreneurship to prisoners at a minimum-security camp in North Carolina. Listen in as John discusses how he gradually built an effective program the lasted until a scandal involving prison officials blindsided his progress and threatened to derail his teaching career.
