    Funny Story by Emily Henry

This week on Best Cellars, we're diving into rom-coms with Funny Story, the latest book from Emily Henry that she definitely wrote for us. Tune in to hear Maddie (rom-com fan) and Tyler (rom-com h8r) debate the following: Is it okay to be a "we" girl? What is the best romance trope? Gun to your head, if you had to choose between having friends or having a lover, what would you do? Really? You'd give up cuddles? For LIFE? Well, okay, your choice I guess.

Wet Hot Allosaurus Summer by Lola Faust

Maddie would like the record to show: she does NOT condone beastiality. In fact, neither does Tyler. But we DO talk about it on this week's episode because we're reading Wet Hot Allosaurus Summer by Lola Faust (aka Dr. Dinosaur), our very first (and probably, very last) dinosaur erotica. Discussion topics include: What would a lesbian dinosaur sound like? How tall are dinosaurs, really? Would you let the love of your life eat your arm? Listen until the end for a special guest appearance from the woman who started it all: Sierra. BOOK: Wet Hot Allosaurus Summer by Lola Faust WINE:  Bitter Kiss L'un Des Sens Orange Wine

Lessons in Chemistry by Bonnie Garmus

Pop quiz: What was the original title for Bonnie Garmus' novel Lessons in Chemistry? While we're at it: is Bonnie short for something? And also: Where are Tyler and Maddie this week? Will Tyler like Colorado? Does anyone like the Apple TV + adaptation of this book as much as Maddie? All of your questions will be answered if you just sit down and listen for once. BOOK: Lessons in Chemistry by Bonnie Garmus WINE: Breaking Bread Marmalade 2023 Skin-Contact White

Doppelganger: A Trip into the Mirror World by Naomi Klein

Welcome back! In our first episode of 2024, we examine the idea of doubling, the alliance between wellness warriors and anti-vaxxers right-wingers, and the curse of the name Naomi. But that's not all! Tune in to also find out: Who makes a better firetruck sound? What is Ronism? Why do people think Tyler looks like Salma Hayek? Did anyone survive Tyler's housewarming? I can't tell you that. BOOK: Doppelganger: A Trip into the Mirror World WINE: Pedroncelli Mother Clone
