(Un) Common thoughts of Christ

Un Common Thoughts of Christ

This podcast channel explores the Word of God in a time that increasingly resembles the condition described in Revelation 3 and the church of Laodicea—a day when much of the Christian profession appears satisfied and self-reliant, yet Christ Himself says, “Behold, I stand at the door and knock.”  In such a time, the Lord is calling to individuals—to the overcomer—those who will hear His voice and respond to Him personally. Each episode reflects on Scripture and encourages believers to step outside the complacency of the age and walk in fellowship with the Lord Jesus Christ. The foundation of these meditations is the authority and power of the Word of God. As Paul exhorted Timothy, “Hold fast the pattern of sound words… in faith and love which are in Christ Jesus” (2 Timothy 1:13). Through readings of Scripture and thoughtful reflections, this podcast seeks to draw listeners back to the living power of God’s Word, which is “quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword” (Hebrews 4:12).  The aim is to encourage spiritual discernment, faithfulness to Christ, and a deeper walk with Him in these challenging days.

The Fowls of the Air --How the Enemy Steals the Word (Matthew 13)

In Episode 2 of He That Hath Ears to Hear, we examine the first soil in the parable of the sower — the wayside ground. Why can people hear the Word of God repeatedly and yet remain unchanged? What does it mean for the seed to lie only on the surface of the heart? And why did the Lord connect the birds of the air with the direct activity of Satan? This episode explores: the hardened heart, the danger of repeated exposure without response, how the enemy quickly removes the Word, and why the Spirit still warns:“Today if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts.” Special attention is given to: Israel in the wilderness as a warning example, the “fowls of the air” and Satan’s activity, the roaring lion of 1 Peter 5,the battle for attention and spiritual hearing in 2026,and how wounded hearts can slowly become hardened hearts. In an age filled with endless content, distraction, noise, and spiritual overexposure, this parable becomes more relevant than ever. The issue is not merely whether we hear sermons or consume religious material — the issue is whether the Word truly enters the conscience and heart. Main Scriptures: Matthew 13:3–19Mark 4:4–15Psalm 95:7–8Hebrews 3:151 Peter 5:8Hosea 10:12This episode asks the searching question: What happens when I hear the Word of God? Does it enter? Or does it remain on the surface where the enemy can quickly take it away? Submit questions and comments to www.ThoughtsofChrist.com
