Ep 115 - Stepping Back to Move Forward

If you have ever felt like you needed to step away from social media, but felt teathered to it at the same time then this episode might be for you. I’ve been online for about 20 years, and what started as online community, evolved into social (or anti-social) media.  This is a deeply personal episode, as I share my choice to take the summer and possibly autumn off from all platforms. After making this choice I had a profound experience, I guess you could call it a mystical purge, my body gave way to some unusual symptoms, which also linked up with it being a new moon. The timing of this was very odd, but the next day I felt like there had been a shift. A layer of the cord had been cut, my need for wanting to check social media in the way I had before, had dissipated overnight. There was a lighter feeling after this, freedom.  With the rise of AI-generated content, particularly that which is replacing art, feels like it is steeling part of our souls as creative beings. Taking this step back feels like a must to be able to move forward in this world.   Have you taken a digital detox recently? What shifted for you? I'd love to hear your experiences when I return from this intentional pause. Until then, remember to lead through your life with your heart and live with intention. - If you would like to connect further you can find me on Instagram @jolenesensualbeing - You can sign up to my mailing list here: Sensual Being Mailout - My Youtube channel: SensualBeingJolene I hope you enjoy your day. Ep 114 - Share Your Light, Ignore the Likes

If you have ever felt yourself getting obsessed with the insights of a vulnerable post you have just shared, then you are not alone. Now days we live in a time where it seems we are all putting our most sacred entries to our secret diaries online, no wonder we are paranoid about likes and comments! I share my own personal experiences on how my relationship to my creative expression has been altered by sharing it online. Particularly as I remember a time during adulthood where sharing online wasn’t even an option.  When we create our art for being content to meet the demand of the algorithm something changes, the flow state doesn’t always come, our intention for why we pursued our passion in the first place gets put by the wayside. The thoughts of; will I get likes, I hope the comments are friendly, will this get shown to my followers, all this starts to creep in.  Our need in modern day life for external validation, is taking us further from the truth of ourselves, I for one, am committed to keeping my truth alive, throughout all my interactions.    To remember the ripple effect is everything to me, if what I create reaches just one person, then sharing it has been worthwhile. Your magic, and mine, doesn't need massive recognition to matter. - If you would like to connect further you can find me on Instagram @jolenesensualbeing - You can sign up to my mailing list here: Sensual Being Mailout - My Youtube channel: SensualBeingJolene I hope you enjoy your day. Ep 113 - Why We Eat More But Nourish Less

The disconnect between what our bodies need and what our food culture promotes has never been more profound. Today's journey explores the hidden conditioning that shapes our relationship with food and the surprising ways it impacts our health. Have you ever noticed how food packaging boldly highlights natural allergens like eggs and milk while completely normalizing chemical additives? This subtle yet powerful messaging trains us to fear whole foods while accepting lab-created ingredients without question. Meanwhile, government guidelines promote ultra-processed cereals over nutrient-dense eggs, creating deep confusion about what truly constitutes nourishment. The simple practice of intermittent fasting reveals one of our body's most remarkable abilities – self-healing. By extending the overnight period without food to 16 hours, we allow our systems to shift energy from constant digestion to vital repair work. Many listeners have shared profound healing experiences simply by creating this digestive breathing room, contradicting the conventional wisdom that we need three meals plus snacks daily. Particularly troubling is the resurgence of "Y2K body" ideals – the dangerously thin aesthetic that dominated the early 2000s when public figure Victoria Beckham was weighed on television and models with visible bones were still considered "too fat." Those who grew up during this era continue struggling with body image distortions, yet this harmful standard is being glamorized for a new generation. Rather than chasing these arbitrary ideals, we need to reconnect with what makes each of our unique bodies thrive. As we've moved further from growing, raising and cooking our own food, we've lost touch with fundamental nutrition. Processed foods enable us to consume more while receiving less actual nourishment, leaving us paradoxically overfed yet undernourished. Beginning the journey back requires conscious choices – perhaps choosing butcher-sourced meat, prioritizing whole foods, or simply becoming more mindful about how different foods make you feel. Join me in breaking free from food conditioning and rediscovering what your body truly needs. This journey isn't about perfection, but making better choices where possible while navigating the complexities of modern life. Ep 112 - Sex, Trust & Long-Term Desire

Remember the electric excitement of new love—that can't-keep-your-hands-off-each-other feeling that makes your skin tingle before they've even touched you? That's not just chemistry; it's powerful energy work happening naturally. But what about when that initial spark fades? Does it mean something's wrong with your relationship? Absolutely not. Drawing from nearly two decades of experience connecting people with their bodies and sensuality, I'm diving deep into the natural evolution of desire in long-term relationships. That initial infatuation serves a purpose—it pulls us together with magnetic force. But as relationships mature, something more profound develops if we let it. Think of it like this: you have 100 points to distribute across your relationship. At first, most go toward lust and chemistry. As you build trust and understanding, those points redistribute—not disappearing but transforming into something richer. This shift explains why many women find their arousal patterns change in established relationships. Your body's response isn't broken; it's simply operating in a different mode that requires more intention and presence. The real enemy isn't time—it's complacency. When we substitute Netflix marathons for conversation, scroll through social media instead of looking into our partner's eyes, or stop making time for physical connection, we're actively dismantling intimacy. The antidote? Curiosity. About your partner's body. About their fantasies. About what makes them feel seen and desired. Creating playful tension through teasing and anticipation. Building sexual energy throughout the day through subtle touches and suggestive messages. Whether single or partnered, we must fight the numbing effects of modern life that disconnect us from our sensuality. Find something that ignites your curiosity, look at the world with wonder, and most importantly—lead with your heart and live with intention. Your relationship (and your life) will thank you for it.
