    how to make friends

it's easier than you think. not in class, not at events, not at clubs, but really anywhere. it's just a matter of when and how. in my years of, well, being a human, I've learned a few things about how unserious life can be and how eager others are to meet you. instagram @uhbwpodcast

    what is people pleasing, really?

it's too much work. conversations don't need to be that overwhelming. today I discuss my past history of people pleasing and how I've come to recognize how counterproductive it is.

I lived at a frat house this summer

The summer of the frat: almost converted to Mormonism, bugs on the rocks, yearning for public bathrooms, and front yard pineapple. In this episode, I will be debunking and confirming all of the myths associated with fraternity living, and explaining why my view on greek life has transformed completely. This one goes out to my bros. follow me on instagram @uhbwpodcast

    finding my voice

So what if animals have four legs and food expires? Those things can wait, because in this episode I talk about how I found my voice, specifically through my writing. From a young age, writing came naturally to me, but my voice stayed hidden. It took me years to find it, hidden under layers of argumentative essays and rubric following. Now, I finally feel like I have a grasp on what I’m trying to say. Give it a listen, it’s my voice we’re talking about here. predicting fashion trends

today I am predicting fashion trends. why ferris bueller, you ask? If you don’t stop and look around once and a while, you might not know that cameron frye is my fashion icon and backbone of the entire plot. head into Home Depot the or the old closet in your house and see what you can find. instagram @uhbwpodcast twitter @uhbwtweets

feeling like you don't fit in

a feeling we've all gone through. just some personal stories in this episode. this is neither a guide, nor is it a "how-to." rehashing these memories was not fun, but boy oh boy am I now able to recognize how far I've come. if there's one thing I've learned: feeling like you don't fit in has nothing to do with you and absolutely everything to do with other people. brownie points for you if you catch my bad Obama reference. instagram @uhbwpodcast twitter @uhbwtweets

to buy, or not to buy?

that is the question. clearly hamlet never frequented 7/11 at 2 am. when it comes to sunscreen, coffee, and supersuits, I often find myself at a crossroads. when should we buy stuff? when should we refrain?  timestamps intro 0:00-3:45 is there pressure to buy? 3:45-12:19 does money buy happiness? 12:19-19:18 does money buy productivity? 19:18-24:44 buying v. selling 24:44-26:42 overconsumption & trends 26:42 instagram @uhbwpodcast twitter @uhbwtweets

posing, posting, and instagram, oh my!

who would have thought that you and I would become the creative direction, the muse, and the PR coordinator all at once. AKA, a slave to social media. the phenomenon of posing and posting has immensely changed and shaped our society, leading to things like (TW) “stay fierce” and (brace yourself) “casual instagram.” there’s no right or wrong way to flaunt yourself in front of a camera. there is, however, a tendency to control, communicate, and express how we do it. instagram @uhbwpodcast twitter @uhbwtweets

    walking anxiety

pounding the pavement. slapping the cement. moseying over, if you will. walking is my favorite and least favorite thing to do. in this episode I discuss why it is strangely both the cause and solution to my anxiety. instagram @uhbwpodcast twitter @uhbwtweets

why do we love this font?

you’ve seen it before. good ol’ futura. timeless and classic. it seems like the easy answer to every graphic design problem. from the Nazis to Wes Anderson, this font has somehow managed to stay in style. what’s the obsession all about?

tik tok killed the radio star

scrolling, scrolling, gone. gone and forgotten, only to be remembered as "that tik tok song." years of creativity down the drain. artists have something to say about it, and so do I.

  12. 06/01/2023

    acne

in this first episode, I'll be talking about acne. the good, the bad, and the ugly. this is my experience, and I hope some of you can relate.
