October After Dark: Werewolves, Moon Cycles and the Beast Within

Send us Fan Mail October After Dark: Werewolves, Moon Cycles & the Beast Within Hi everyone, and welcome to Whispers from the Mist: Conversations from the Spiritual Byway! What happens when we follow a werewolf through an entire cycle of the moon? In this episode, Michelle and Stacy begin with the moon itself: its changing phases, its effects on Earth, and the ways people say they experience it. Then they use those phases to tell a werewolf’s journey—from the hidden beast of the new moon and the first signs of change, to the full moon transformation, its aftermath, and the uneasy calm before the cycle begins again. They also explore the many ways someone might become a werewolf. Is it a bite, a family inheritance, a curse, or a choice? And why do the rules change so much from one story to another? Along the way, they touch on werewolves from folklore, film, and fiction, including Teen Wolf, Harry Potter, and Twilight. They close with a quick trip through some of the movies that helped shape the werewolf we recognize today. So, how do you picture a werewolf? Do you picture it as a frightening creature, or as a person trying to live with something they can’t control? Let us know!! October After Dark: The Headless Horseman of Sleepy Hollow

Send us Fan Mail October After Dark: The Headless Horseman of Sleepy Hollow Hi everyone, and welcome to Whispers from the Mist: Conversations from the Spiritual Byway! Before Michelle and Stacy head to Sleepy Hollow, they have one quick correction from the Dracula episode: the author’s name is Bram Stoker. Michelle also shares a story that she saw on Instagram about a man who was fined for pretending to be a ghost in a cemetery. This leads to a discussion between the ladies: would you find that funny, or disrespectful to the people visiting? Then the ladies will shift their discussion to today's topic - Washington Irving and The Legend of Sleepy Hollow. During this conversation, Michelle and Stacy will explore some of Irving’s background, the tale of the Headless Horseman, and then they will debate what they think actually happened to Ichabod Crane on his unforgettable ride home. Was the Headless Horseman real, or did Ichabod’s fear—and perhaps Brom Bones—have something to do with it? They ladies will also talk about how the story has changed on screen, from the Disney version that many of us remember to Tim Burton’s Sleepy Hollow and the later Fox television series. After listening to this episode please let us know....Which version shaped the way you picture the Headless Horseman? If you enjoyed listening to this episode, please leave a 5-star rating and review! Before closing out this episode's notes, we would like to add a quick historical correction. In the episode, Michelle says that Washington Irving was born about a year after the Revolutionary War. In fact, he was born on April 3, 1783, five months before the Treaty of Paris was signed on September 3, 1783. This treaty formally ended the Revolutionary war, so Irving entered the world just as that chapter of American history was coming to a close. Back to the Mist: Questions, Curiosity and the Unknown

Send us Fan Mail Hi everyone, and welcome to Whispers from the Mist: Conversations from the Spiritual Byway. This week, we are transitioning away from the Warrens, and making our way back into the wider world of paranormal happenings and the unexplained. Before we get into today's discussion questions, Stacy shares a personal paranormal experience that recently happened in her own home. She shares the initial surprise of it, and then how her family chose to process it. From there, we answer two final questions about Ed and Lorraine Warren. After those two questions are answered (and good-byes are said), the conversation shifts and opens back up into the kinds of questions that we don’t always have an easy answer for. Questions such as: Intuition and how it can change as we move further along our spiritual paths. the difference between fear and inner knowing. how our awareness can shift over time and what it means to keep questioning our experiences rather than immediately trying to explain them. This episode is a little less about finding answers and a little more about staying curious. The Warren series may be behind us for now, but there is still plenty waiting in the mist. The Warren House: The Night Unfolds (Part Two)

Send us Fan Mail Hi everyone! Welcome to Whispers from the Mist: Conversations from the Spiritual Byway. On this week’s episode, Michelle, Bonnie, and Jenn continue their night inside the Warren House. In Part Two, they pick up right where they left off — with Rick opening the door to the Occult Museum. From there, the experience begins to shift. They talk about what it felt like to move through the museum, the moments that stood out to them, and how the energy changed again as the night continued into the basement. They also reflect on what the experience taught them about intuition, discernment, paying attention to how a space feels, and knowing when it is time to stop. As always, this is simply their experience — what they saw, heard, felt, and how they interpreted those moments through their own intuition, sensitivities, and research. And yes… the technology issues continued. While recording this episode, the internet became unstable at different points in the conversation, especially as they shifted into different parts of the house and different pieces of the experience. Some of those moments remain in the recording because they became part of the conversation itself. So listen in as Michelle, Bonnie, and Jenn move deeper into the night, through the Occult Museum and into the basement, and reflect on what stayed with them long after they left. This is Part Two: The Warren House — The Night Unfolds. If you enjoyed listening to this episode, please leave a 5-star rating and review! Send us Fan Mail Hi everyone! Welcome to Whispers from the Mist: Conversations from the Spiritual Byway. On this week’s episode, buckle your seatbelts, because Michelle, Bonnie, and Jenn are finally going inside the Warren House.
