    Welcome! Today, our musings come from the TAOTECHING, particularly from the commentaries found in the Red Pine translation. Su Ch'e: "Losing something is the result of possessing something. How can people lose what they don't possess?" (V2) Ho-Shang Kung: "Whenever the mouth opens and the tongue moves, disaster is close behind. Better to guard your inner virtue, nurture your vital essence, protect your spirit, treasure your breath, and avoid talking too much." (V5) Wang Pi: "Those who live for themselves fight with others. Those who don't live for themselves are the refuge of others." (V7)
