    50 Years, A Million Memories & The Music in Me

    🎂🎶 I’m turning 50, and I’m celebrating the only way I know how—through MUSIC! 🎶🎂 Come celebrate this milestone with me as I take a musical trip through my first 50 years! From my earliest childhood memories to the music that filled my school years, I’m revisiting some of the artists and songs that helped create the soundtrack of my life. We’re going back to the 80s and 90s for Michael Jackson, Tiffany, Debbie Gibson, Bon Jovi, boy bands, girl groups, 90s country, powerhouse women like Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, Christina Aguilera, and Britney Spears, plus some unforgettable songs from movies and musicals. And, of course, I have a few honorable mentions because there are WAY too many artists I loved to fit into one episode! These aren't necessarily the greatest songs ever recorded, they're the songs that bring back memories, moments, feelings, and different versions of me throughout the years. I'll laugh, I'll reminisce, and I may even embarrass myself a little as I look back at the music I grew up with and the songs that still make me want to sing along today! And I'm saving one very special song for the end—one by an artist who has held a special place in my heart for basically my entire life.     The Ultimate Karaoke Playlist

    I love to sing, but there’s just one problem—I’m way too shy to sing karaoke in front of strangers! In this episode of The Music in Me, I’m talking about some of the most popular karaoke songs and what makes them so much fun to sing, from “Sweet Caroline” and “Don’t Stop Believin’” to “Livin’ on a Prayer,” “Dancing Queen,” “Shallow,” “Mr. Brightside,” and more. Then I’m getting personal and sharing some of my own favorite karaoke songs, including Broadway favorites, Disney songs, powerhouse vocals from Whitney Houston, Adele, P!nk, Sia, Frank Sinatra, and three of my favorite Alicia Keys songs. Some of these songs have special memories attached to them, some I used to sing over and over on my old karaoke machine, and others became favorites from singing them in my bedroom or car while pretending I was the original artist.     The Many Faces of Fatherhood in Musical Theater

    In this Father’s Day episode of The Music in Me, I’m diving into the powerful, emotional, and sometimes unexpected ways musical theater portrays fathers and father figures. After doing a Mother’s Day episode celebrating moms in musicals, I knew I wanted to continue the tradition and shine a light on dads this time around. In this episode, I explore songs that show the many sides of fatherhood—fathers dreaming about the future, fathers trying to connect with their children, fathers who aren’t perfect, fathers who sacrifice everything, and the quiet beauty of watching children grow up. Some of these songs are longtime favorites of mine, and others were brand new discoveries I found while researching this episode, and I honestly fell in love with them.     Tony Talk 2026: Musicals and Revivals

    In this episode of The Music in Me, I dive into one of the most exciting times of the year for Broadway fans — Tony Awards season! I take a closer look at the 2026 Tony nominees for Best Musical and Best Revival of a Musical, including The Lost Boys, Schmigadoon!, Titaníque, Two Strangers (Carry a Cake Across New York), Ragtime, Cats: The Jellicle Ball, and The Rocky Horror Show. Even though I didn’t know much about some of these musicals before the nominations were announced, that is exactly why I love doing episodes like this. It gives me the chance to discover new Broadway shows, explore incredible music and stories, and share my excitement with all of you along the way. I talk about vampire rock musicals, hilarious comedy parodies, emotional historical storytelling, bold Broadway revivals, cult musical fandoms, and why theater continues reinventing itself year after year.
