    Before my mom passed away, she came on the pod to answer my questions about her life story. We talk about her love of the 80s and Madonna, the struggles in her early years of being a mother, and the things that got her through it all. Discussion topics include smushing Barbie dolls together, People magazine, censorship of books and movies, and feeling like her destiny and purpose was to be a Grandma. I miss her so much, and I'm so happy I can return to this perfect day with her when I need to.     My friend Tali comes on the pod to tell her story about growing up in the LDS church, realizing she was queer, reconciling being her true authentic self with her love for her church and her community, and falling in love with one of her very best friends, Bella. Tali and Bella have found joy in some dark places and are a testament to the fact that even in the worst of circumstances, life can be so sweet with your best friend by your side. I've dreamed of this podcast being a safe space to hold stories that feel hard to talk about with loved ones, and I'm so grateful to Tali for being willing to share this part of her life!
