    Pawblic Service Announcement

It’s a little pawblic service announcement. Steve and I aren’t dead. Not yet at least. So stop celebrating so vigorously. New episodes are in the pipeline. No promises on when they will be out. “Patience is a virtue” - Kermit the Frog

    Steve’s Hot Takes From 2023

The big syrup beaver prince and Josh look back on another year that was. Steve has three take away points from the year that stood out the most to him, and he wishes to share them with everyone.

The Good, The Bad and The Misunderstood: Reactivity In Dogs

What is reactivity really? Why does it seem like more and more dog owners are confronting the tricky trail that is leading their dog out of reactive behaviours? Steve gives Josh the lecture of a lifetime explaining all there is to know.

    The Night Before Christmas

    Adopting/Rescuing Vs Breeder Bought

The title says it all. A topic that polarises people all over the world. The debate rages fiercely, and it’s time for Josh and Steve to weigh in. There may or may not be some coarser than usual language found in this one. Buckle up, folks - it’s gonna be a blood bath!!!

    Special Guest: Cassie Meloche

Besides being an unofficial Professor Doctor and the wife of Steve, subsequently ensuring she holds the coveted and prestigious title of “most patient woman on the planet”, Cass is an experienced teacher of actual little human beings with a Masters in Learning Intervention. We chat about the basics of behaviour modification, and how Josh’s sister is disgusted that he keeps telling her that dogs and little people learn, and can be influenced in very similar ways. Almost exactly the same in fact.

Art Vs Science From A Dog Training and Behaviour Lense

In this episode, Josh and Steve deep dive into both the art and science of dog training. You can’t have one without the other, but can you have more of one than the other?

Special Guest: Alex Krstic - Owner of Wildpro and Sambarman Kennels

Besides being an absolute weapon when it comes to competitive axe throwing, Alex Krstic is passionate about Australia’s native wildlife species and their preservation. For over 30 years, Big Al has been seeing to it, that invasive species such as feral cats and foxes in Australia, don’t have the easy ride they so desperately want when it comes to ravaging native wildlife species. What’s more impressive still, is that he has, and continues to, use dogs to help him with his work. Alex “Serbian Santa” Krstic, as he is so fondly known by the children of The Yarra Valley, is an old school “Dog Man” who certainly knows his way around the traps, with experience breeding Hounds, Deutsch Drahthaars and Jagd Terriers, the latter of which he goes into great detail about with Josh and Steve in this episode.
