Grant Denton, Karma Box Project - CCP 164

Grant Denton, Karma Box Project - CCP 164 On this episode of the Community Cares Podcast, host Dave McLaughlin, Executive Director of Good Shepherd's Clothes Closet, and co-host Chaplain Chaz Blackburn, President of Good Shepherd's Clothes Closet, welcome Grant Denton, Founder and Executive Director of the Karma Box Project in Reno. Grant launched Karma Box in 2018 after overcoming homelessness and addiction himself, and grew it from a single community pantry box into an organization running outreach teams, a safe camp, and recovery-focused services. Grant talks about his own journey off the streets, how Karma Box meets people where they are without leaving them there, and what it takes to help neighbors move toward stability. It's a conversation about accountability, compassion, and how our whole community can be part of the solution. For 30 years, Good Shepherd's Clothes Closet has been providing hope and dignity to those in need with free clothes. If you care about helping our unhoused neighbors, this episode is for you.
