    The Fruit Inspector: Good Tree, Good Fruit

    Jesus teaches that the fruit of our lives reveals the source of our lives. A tree does not produce good fruit by trying harder—it produces fruit because of what is happening beneath the surface. In this message from Matthew 7:17–20, we see that the Christian life is not simply about changing our behavior or learning how to look more spiritual. The root determines the fruit, and the fruit reveals the root. Spiritual fruit is not something we manufacture through determination or willpower. Love, joy, peace, patience, and the rest of the fruit of the Spirit are evidence that God is at work within us. People may not be able to see the root, but eventually they will experience the fruit. Jesus also gives a serious warning: a tree that produces no good fruit reveals a deeper problem. Trials and pressures often expose what has been beneath the surface all along. But the Gospel gives us hope. Jesus does not tell us to staple better fruit onto dead branches. He offers us new life.     Fruit Inspector: Rotten Root, Rotten Fruit

    Rotten Roots, Rotten Fruit | Matthew 7:15–20 Jesus warns us that not everything that looks spiritual is truly from God. False teachers can sound convincing, look sincere, and appear successful, but Jesus gives us a clear test: “You will know them by their fruit.” In this message from Matthew 7:15–20, we learn that biblical discernment is not about becoming suspicious of everyone. It is about knowing the truth of God’s Word well enough to recognize what is false. But Jesus’ words do more than teach us how to examine others. They force us to examine ourselves. The fruit of our lives reveals what is happening beneath the surface. We can polish our appearance, change certain behaviors, and learn how to look religious, but real spiritual fruit cannot be manufactured. A changed life must come from a changed heart. The answer is not simply trying harder to produce better fruit. We need Jesus to change the root.     What is a Deacon?

    #bibleteaching #victoryfallon #deacons What is a deacon, and what is he actually called to do? In Acts 6:1–7, we see that deacons are not simply men who hold a title or take care of church business. They are servants who help carry burdens, care for people, protect the unity of the church, and help keep the mission moving forward. Deacon ministry is ultimately about strengthening the church so the church can continue making disciples and spreading the Word of God. And the example of faithful deacons should challenge every believer to ask: Where can I serve? Whom can I help? In Matthew 7:12, Jesus gives us what we often call the Golden Rule, but His command goes much deeper than simply avoiding harm. He calls us to actively pursue the good of others and to let the grace we have received from God flow into the way we treat the people around us. The Golden Rule is not just good advice. It is a picture of kingdom living.     Take Up the Towel: Legacy in Service

    What does it truly mean to be great? Most of us have absorbed the world's answer to that question without even realizing it. Greatness, the world tells us, is about position, authority, and having others serve you. But in Mark chapter 10, Jesus completely dismantles that idea. When James and John come to him asking for the seats of honor at his left and right hand, Jesus does not rebuke their desire for greatness. He redefines it. He tells his disciples that whoever wants to be great must become the servant of all. This is not a minor adjustment to our understanding of leadership. It is a total reversal. The message challenges us to examine where we have quietly adopted the world's model of leadership in our homes, our workplaces, and our churches, and to consider what it would look like to lead the way Jesus did. The spiritual insight here is both convicting and freeing. We do not serve in order to earn anything. We serve because we follow a Savior who took on the form of a servant and gave his life as a ransom for many. That changes everything about why and how we give ourselves to others.

    Legacy: The Mini Series - Sent Home

    This powerful message challenges us to reconsider what it means to build a lasting legacy as followers of Christ. Drawing from Mark 5:1-18, we encounter the dramatic story of the Gadarene demoniac—a man so tormented and isolated that he lived among tombs, breaking chains and crying out in anguish. Yet when Jesus arrives, everything changes in an instant. What's remarkable is not just the miracle itself, but what Jesus asks of this transformed man afterward. Rather than allowing him to join the traveling ministry, Jesus sends him home with a simple command: tell your friends and family what God has done for you. This reveals a profound truth about our calling—our legacy is not built on grand platforms or spectacular achievements, but in the everyday spaces where God has already placed us. The man's obedience had ripple effects beyond what he could see; when Jesus later returned to that region, crowds that had once begged Him to leave were now bringing their sick and broken to be healed. One faithful witness changed an entire community's response to Christ. We are challenged to ask ourselves: Are the people God has placed around us closer to Jesus because we are there? Our neighborhoods, workplaces, schools, and homes are not obstacles to ministry—they are our mission fields, and our faithfulness in these ordinary places can have extraordinary impact for the Kingdom.
