Story: Jungle of the Smoke Men Story by: Gail Nobles © 2026 Podcast cover by: Gail Nobles All voices by: Gail Nobles Little Benny tried to hide behind the giant tobacco leaves left in the jungle. He did not want Ms. Daniels to know that he was trying to kick his bad habit of smoking. He was hiding behind his old tobacco leaf religion, but the demons of cigar smoke was showing him up. So LB went on a trip to the jungle to take a break from being seen by everyone. He knew he was addicted to cigars, and he knew the cigar smoke was messing up his lungs. LB remembered his Bible lesson and one of the scriptures. He remembered 1 Corinthians 6:19 talking to him. “19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?” Then the demons whipped his conscience and began to talk to him.  "You’ll never break the habit of smoking LB. Why are you trying to hide? No need to hide. Show the world that you’re a smoker.” The demons of smoke began to laugh. They were always haunting Little Benny. LB thought: "There’s only one way to stop these cigar monsters from coming around. I’ve got to stop smoking. And every time I kick the habit, I have to fight an even bigger demon. And his name is Cigar Keys. Right now, I’m in the present. I’ll worry about the future later." You're listening to the story of Little Benny. Story by Gail Nobles © 2026. Little Benny

Little Benny in Silent Prayer 8:25:25 3.39 PM

Story: Little Benny in Silent Prayer Story by: Gail Nobles © 2025 Cover illustration. by: Gail Nobles People often judged Little Benny for being a smoker. Each time he managed to quit, something would pull him back into the habit. Deep down, he longed to break free from smoking completely. What no one knew was the depth of his prayer life; he prayed quietly, his lips moving in silence. As he stood to leave the restaurant, he caught sight of his adversary staring directly at him. But then, something peculiar and mysterious began to occur—Benny started to fade away as his enemy approached. Filled with fear, he prayed fervently, sensing that something was aiding him. Was it the cigarettes? No. Was it his desperate prayers? Perhaps it was. When he got home, he couldn't figure out how to return to his normal self. In his desperation, he prayed silently again. Miraculously, he saw himself reappear. He quickly called Ms. Daniels, thinking she might not believe him. “Could it be something related to the armor costume I wore?” he asked her. Ms. Daniels replied, “It sounds like the power of prayer.” You're listening to the story of Little Benny by Gail Nobles © 2025. Little Benny

The Reflections of Fear 12:9:24 6.36 PM

Story: The Reflections of Fear Story and 3D Art by: Gail Nobles © 2024 Little Benny stood before the cracked bathroom mirror, the dim light casting strange shadows across his face. Each time he glanced at his reflection, he flinched, not only because of the blemishes that marred his skin but because of something deeper that lurked beneath the surface. An ugly figure stared back at him, a warped version of himself — a taro-like demon with hollow eyes and a wicked grin. It was an illusion sent by his own mind, a manifestation of all his fears and insecurities. “I’ve got to stop smoking for good,” he muttered, stepping back as if distancing himself from the repulsive image. The smell of stale tobacco still clung to his clothes, a constant reminder of his struggles. The truth was, it wasn’t just the nicotine that held him captive; it was the fear that wrapped around him like a thick fog. He recalled the pit of dread that had settled in his stomach when he lost his job. The sense of failure gnawed at him, a predator in the shadows, lurking as he faced each day. Memories of missed opportunities and regret surfaced, drenching him in a cold sweat. He could hardly breathe at the thought of an uncertain future, and with each passing day, the fear of the unknown became more suffocating. Panic gripped him tight whenever he thought about going to the doctor. Needles. He couldn’t shake the memory of the last time — the sharp prick, the rush of panic, the sensation of his heart racing as the room spun around him. It was a fear that shackled him, keeping him from seeking help for the things that tormented him most. Little Benny tried to hold onto faith, clinging to the hope that things would get better, but doubt had a way of creeping in, whispering venomous thoughts that clouded his judgment. "Why bother? You're just going to fail again," it hissed, drowning out the little voice that encouraged him to be brave. Little Benny had found a friend in Ms. Daniels, a kind-hearted teacher who believed in him, whose encouragement had ignited a flicker of hope in his otherwise chaotic world. Yet now, the shadows of his “giant enemy,” the bullies who tormented him, loomed large over his head. What if he lost her too? The thought paralyzed him. He felt like a tiny ship lost in a storm, tossed about by waves of anxiety with so little control over his destiny. “What am I supposed to do?” he lamented, staring at the wood grains of the floor as if they held the answers to his turmoil. He too realized it wasn’t just the monsters outside that threatened him; it was the demons within, those fears that clung tightly like barnacles. With a deep breath, Little Benny wiped his sweaty palms on his jeans, taking one last glance at his warped reflection. "I’m going to face this.” Before long, little Benny’s distorted reflection faded away, and they parted ways. You're listening to the story of Little Benny by Gail Nobles © 2024. Little Benny

    A Throne of Smoke 9:17:24 6.00 AM

Story: A Throne of Smoke Story and Art by: Gail Nobles ©️ 2024 Ending music by: Gail Nobles Sound Effects and voices by: Gail Nobles Little Benny appeared burden by the weight of the world and the strife of the economy. He thought about how rich he used to be. He sat upon a throne of smoke. A great demon of smoke entwined around his mind, and in his hand was a cigar ,lit with the fire of his anxious spirit. He was worried about Ms. Daniels. It had been reported on the news that someone tried to break in her home, and he also thought about the drops of water coming down from his ceiling into a bucket. And the smoke arose in clouds, curling upwards as prayers of the weary, enveloping the man in a haze of his own making. The air was thick with the scent of despair, and the din of voices clamored from below, saying, “Who shall deliver us from this dark hour? Who shall lift the burden of our labor and restore our fortunes?”  And little Benny in his desolate state looked upon the smoke that surrounded him and saw the faces of those lost to the shadows of want. And a demon emerged from the swirling fog, its eyes like fiery with the lust of greed, whispering sweetly in Benny’s ear, turning into the looks of little Benny. Demon: Have no fear, for I am the keeper of your desire. I shall show you the path to riches, if you but surrender that soul!  Yet Little Benny, though weakened, remembered the words of wisdom spoken by the ancients, and he cast his gaze upward, where the light of truth shown bright. And he spoke: O darkness, thou hast no hold upon me! I will not trade my peace for the fleeting pleasures of this world. And as he declared this, the cigar fell from his fingers, extinguishing the flame of temptation, and the smoke dissipated like a defeated foe in the dawn of understanding. The demon shrieked and retreated into the shadows.  Little Benny was the man transformed, no longer a prisoner of his fears, but a champion of hope, for he had learned that the riches of the spirit far outweighed the gold of the earth. And he rose from his throne of smoke, ready to face the trials ahead, unshackled and renewed. Amen, Little Benny! Little Benny

The Cigar Man intervines in his overcoming smoking.  In Ephesians of chapter 6:11, It reads: Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. Physically & spiritually, that’s what Little Benny had to do. He put on armor to fight his enemy. In verse 12 of Ephesians, it reads: For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. That’s what Little Benny fights against when he fights against the Cigar Man. The Cigar Man is not a man of flesh and blood. He is power and smoke that wants to destroy Little Benny and the whole world.  1 Peter 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:.. Story: Cigar The Man Story by: Gail Nobles ©️2024 Cover art by: Gail Nobles Ending music by: Gail Nobles While Lttle Benny was practicing on using his powers with his helmet and armor on, Cigar Keys was practicing on his mind. He was froze to the bone in Ms. Daniels lab. Cigar Keys couldn't break the ice but there was one place on his body that stayed warm and that was his head. Like Little Benny,he kept a helmet on and that helmet was like a burning torch when it was lit. With his mind, he lit his helmet that did not burn. It was like a cigarette lighter. Keys let the flame heat up the ice block he was in just enough to see if the ice would melt. He wanted to fool Ms. Daniels. Keys knew that she would be back-and-forth checking on him during the day. So he waited until night time to break out of the lab all together. Until then, he stayed in the ice block in the ice chamber room. When night time came, Cigars melted the top of the ice block machine. Then he finished breaking free from it. When he was turned into ashes from the beginning, he used his mind power to put back all the pieces of himself. He grew tired. He then made himself smoke to go past the sleeping security guards and slipped under the lab exit doors. Cigar Keys went to gather all the men that worked for him, and he called them to a meeting discussing what he had planned. He sent two to spy on Ms. Daniels. Cigar: I want you to find Ms. Daniels. Find out where she is. Find out where she lives and report back to me. Music ending … You’re listening to the story of Little Benny by Gail Nobles ©️2024. Little Benny

Story: Armor Story by: Gail Nobles ©️ 2023 Cover Art by: Gail Nobles Little Benny had fought Cigar akeys at least once with no protection. Most of the time the battlefield was in Little Benny's mind and heart. Benny was always fighting despair, temptation, and fear. Ms. Daniels knew. She made him a hat like the one he wore, but made it a helmet, and it matched his costume. His costume was like Armor. It protected him. The helmet had a face shield. It covered little Benny's eyes. It was also used as a computer screen to see all around him. Ms. Daniels put a tiny disc in the helmet so little Benny could see the powers of Cigar Keys and what he would have to fight against. Cigar: I'll get you Little Benny! Benny saw a giant hand reaching out to grab him. He snatched his helmet off his head. Benny did not want to stand against Cigar. He just wanted to hide. Ms. Daniels then made Little Benny practice using his own powers. He knew how to use the costume too hide. He knew how to create fog, and he knew when to run. The thing that scared Little Benny most was seeing that his enemy was a giant. Little Benny had to learn how to fight and take punches.
