Are You a CONTENDER or a PRETENDER in Week 5?

Buccs McGee always says at the quarter point of the season, you should know who your team is and if you should have realistic playoff ambitions.  In a week with a lot of junk matchups, there’s a few that may very divide those lines.  The Philadelphia Eagles are reeling. First they get smacked around by the Bears, then the Rams storm back on them in the 4th quarter. Now, they go over to the UK to play the Jags where Jacksonville may as well call it their second home and Trevor Lawrence & Liam Coen may not look elite, but they sure look steady.  The Packers are expected to contend every year and so far, this time around, they are .500 and buoyed by wins over teams like the Jets and Bucs. Chicago is still waiting for Caleb to return and this could get ugly if Green Bay can’t wake up.  Speaking of oddball 2-2 clubs, the Falcons have risen from the dead behind Michael Penix’s return from injury and an unstoppable primetime Bijan Robinson. He’s under the lights again this week and Atlanta gets a limping Ravens squad unsure if Lamar Jackson will be able to go.  No question about the biggest game of the week though. As Sam Darnold continues to get his feet back under him, the Seattle Seahawks need a statement performance to remind the league they are still the top dog and go against their rival and hottest offense in the NFL this year, the San Francisco 49ers.  Follow along on the best highlights of our on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/sundayscariesnflpod?igsh=MXBmNzBrYnlnYXRxaA%3D%3D&utm_source=qr Music Credit: Monty Wames "Raging Bull" "New Outro, Who Dis"

Cowboys' Last Second Regrets & the 3-0 Raiders!!

Michigan giveth and Michigan taketh away. And the NFL said ‘Hold My Beer.’  Twice the Wolverines have flirted with disaster as the clock ticked to zero. It benefited them in the opener vs Western Michigan. It deep-sixed them in a Big Ten throwdown against Iowa. And then the Ravens headed down to Brazil to face the Cowboys and Lamar Jackson’s midfield completion to Zay Flowers set up a game-winning kick that had the Cowboys scratching their heads for answers. It wasn’t the only buzzer beater finish in the league. The Rams moved out to a 16-0 lead at halftime over the Broncos and Denver came storming all the way back, even staving off a last ditch effort by Matthew Stafford with :02 seconds left.  Comebacks you say? The Raiders hung around with the New Orleans Saints long enough to keep Kirko Chainz at 3-0. And Danny Dimes keeps the Colts off the schnide as they head to the UK and send the Houston Texans to their second consecutive 0-3 start. But the Patriots had anything but comeback on their minds as Jacksonville laid down the hurtin’. PLUS, an extended XTRA PTS session featuring a toss back effort from Aaron Rodgers, the forgotten superstar in Detroit, a spirited effort from Marcus Mariota and Washington and OMG, the Cleveland Browns WON?!?!  Follow along on the best highlights of our on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/sundayscariesnflpod?igsh=MXBmNzBrYnlnYXRxaA%3D%3D&utm_source=qr Music Credit: Monty Wames "Raging Bull" "New Outro, Who Dis"
