She ran into an issue in her own work - interpreters weren’t properly trained. Instead of tolerating it, she built a solution. That solution became a business. Here are a few ideas you can use right away: • Pay attention to what frustrates you in your day-to-day work. That’s often where opportunity lives  • Don’t wait for permission. She brought the idea to her boss, got turned down, and did it anyway  • Build around outcomes, not just services. Her program trained people to be job-ready  • Start where your audience already is. She got traction through industry associations  • Be ready to adapt. What worked before might not work now We also talk about why trade skills and practical experience are becoming more valuable in an AI-driven world. If you see a problem, don’t just talk about it - do something about it. About Dr. Nelva Lee: Dr. Nelva Lee is the Founder and CEO of Concrete Build Financing. Dr. Lee was also the CEO of a vocational school for 20 years, has over 20 years of experience in healthcare and over 10 years in academia as an adjunct professor for various Universities. Dr. Lee was a Governor Kemp appointed board member to the Department of Community Health. She is the Vice Chairman of the board of the Henry County Pregnancy Resource Center (Bridge Wellness South), a former Republican candidate for State Senate in District 17, and current candidate for Georgia Superintendent of Schools. Dr. Lee has authored several Christian-based books including: “Stay and Fight” and “Be the Super Hero of Your Story.” Dr. Lee volunteers at Relevant, her local church, and the Joy FM as a Prayer Partner.
