[EP 24] Life After Divorce: Nobody Prepared Me For This

I thought I’d be okay once my marriage ended. I was angry, disappointed, and relieved, so I assumed I was ready to move on. I wasn’t. In this episode, I’m getting honest about what life after divorce actually looked like for me, from grief and self-forgiveness to healing the trust, rejection, and abandonment issues I brought into relationships. I’m talking about how divorce changed the way I see marriage, relationships, compatibility, and being equally yoked. I’m also sharing what happened when I was angry with God, why I chose a real season of singleness, and how I learned to be alone without being lonely. And if you’ve ever wondered, “How do I know when I’m actually healed enough to date again?” I’m sharing what I’ve learned about that, too. If you’re navigating divorce, healing from a relationship, or figuring out what’s next, this conversation is for you. [EP 23] I Used to Love Halloween Until... | A Renewed Mind

What does it really mean to be transformed by the renewing of your mind? In this episode of Favor In Beauty: The Podcast, Jenaé shares her personal journey from loving Halloween to no longer desiring to celebrate it—and explains why the change was about much more than Halloween. Through Romans 12:1–2 and Romans 8:5–8, we explore spiritual transformation, the difference between a carnal mind and a renewed mind, conviction versus condemnation, and why obedience sometimes comes before our desires change. We also talk about the difficult side of transformation: navigating changing relationships, making different choices as a parent, and learning to follow God's direction even when other people don't understand. This isn't a conversation about judging other people's convictions. It's an honest look at what happens when your relationship with God begins to change the way you think, what you desire, and how you live. In this episode: Renewing your mind through God's WordRecognizing conviction and responding in obedienceAllowing your desires to catch up with your obedienceNavigating relationships and parenting through personal transformationPractical steps for spiritual growthScriptures: Romans 12:1–2 and Romans 8:5–8. [EP 22] When Being a Good Mom Becomes an Idol

What if idolatry doesn't always look like worshipping a statue or another god? What if it can look like being a really, really good mom? In this episode of Favor in Beauty, I’m having an honest conversation about something I never associated with motherhood: idolatry. I share how my daughter’s prolonged hospitalization and epilepsy diagnosis exposed something in my own heart. I wanted her to be okay so badly that my happiness became dependent on how she was doing. I felt responsible for making her life good, and I was trying to control outcomes that only God could control. We’ll talk about what idolatry actually is, what it isn't, how motherhood can become tied to our identity, security, worth, approval, purpose, and control, and what it looks like to release those things back to God. If you've never connected motherhood and idolatry before, this episode may give you a completely different way to examine your heart. And if you've ever felt like everything depends on you being a “good mom,” I hope this conversation reminds you that you were never meant to be God in your child's life. God is. HE MEETS ME, my devotional for navigating your child's difficult diagnosis(es), was born during the same season I talk about in this episode. If you're walking through a difficult diagnosis with your child, I created it with you in mind. [EP 21] You're In A Spiritual Battle: Here's How to Fight

What does it actually look like to prepare yourself for spiritual warfare? In Episode 21 of Favor in Beauty, we're talking about one of the most practical passages of Scripture when it comes to standing firm in our faith: Ephesians 6:10–18 and the Armor of God. Spiritual warfare can sound intimidating, but God hasn't left us defenseless. Scripture gives us specific weapons and tools to help us stand firm—and in this episode, we're breaking down each piece of the armor and talking about what it can look like to put it into practice in everyday life. We'll walk through: The belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the spirit. If you've ever felt spiritually exhausted, attacked, distracted, discouraged, or unsure how to respond when life feels like a battle, this episode is for you. You don't have to walk into the battle unprepared. [EP 20] Waiting on God? Here's the Encouragement You Need + Life Updates

Life has looked a lot different lately, and in this short catch-up episode I'm sharing where I've been, what's been happening behind the scenes, and why I'm returning  even more thankful for God's faithfulness. If you've been in a season of waiting for healing, breakthrough, direction, restoration, or answered prayer, I want to leave you with a verse that has encouraged me over and over again: Habakkuk 2:3. Sometimes it feels like God is taking longer than we expected. But Scripture reminds us that His promises are never late. What He has spoken will come to pass in His perfect timing. If you're discouraged, tired, or wondering if God has forgotten you, this episode is a gentle reminder to keep trusting Him. The vision is still for an appointed time. In this episode: Where I've beenWhy Favor in Beauty is backA simple encouragement from Habakkuk 2:3Hope for anyone waiting on GodIf this episode encouraged you, be sure to subscribe, leave a review, and share it with someone who needs hope today. __________________________________________________________________ 👀Watch the full episode & Subscribe on YouTube:  https://www.youtube.com/@OhHeyJenae ___________________________________________________________________ 📧Send me an email at favorinbeautypod@gmail.com ____________________________________________________________________ Keywords: waiting on God, Christian encouragement, Habakkuk 2:3, trusting God's timing, breakthrough, faith, biblical encouragement, Christian podcast for women, hope in waiting, God's promises, spiritual growth, Favor in Beauty podcast.
