Comfort for the Holiday Mourners | God is Near the Brokenhearted | Come to Me All Who Are Weary #god

Is this your first holiday after losing a loved one? Are you or someone you love critically ill and suffering? Though I do not know why this is happening to you, but I do know that God is with you, and He loves you, and He comforts those whom He loves. Are you alone, lonely, mourning, grieving, angry, sad, anxious, or afraid this holiday season (and perhaps most holiday seasons)? Are you or a loved one sick and in need of healing? I am incredibly sorry for you, and - as I am dealing with some pain and suffering myself - I do not want you to feel like you are all alone in your suffering. God is with you and for you. He is Love, and He loves you. Agape: The Missing Foundation of Dr. Jordan B. Peterson's Call to Meaning Through Responsible Living

A reading of my Substack article entitled Agape: The Missing Foundation of Dr. Jordan B. Peterson's Call to Meaning Through Responsible Living (link: https://christiangolden.substack.com/p/agape-love-jordan-peterson-meaning-purpose-life) Christ didn’t carry the cross simply because it was what He was His responsibility. It was for the love of God and man, and His heart’s desire to see all brought into oneness just as He was one with the Father (John 17). Love, not responsibility, is the why of the cross of Christ. Let us bear our crosses likewise, motivated by and sustained by and with a character reformed by Love Himself. That is not just what we are to do, but it is who we must become as God’s creation bearing His image and likeness. Only then, Dr. Jordan B. Peterson, will we begin to remember who and what and why we are.
