When you're waiting on God, but He is waiting on you.

Many Christians believe that trusting God means sitting back and waiting for Him to work. But God calls us to more than faith in Him. He calls us to be faithful to Him. In this video, I talk about why trusting God doesn’t mean neglecting the work He’s given us to do, why discipline is an expression of devotion, and how to grow in knowledge, wisdom, and faithfulness so we can become more useful to God. What’s one area of your life where you need to stop waiting and start working with God? Let me know in the comments. Subscribe for more practical & real biblical teaching. One lesson lived is better than thousands learned.

One of the best things I've ever done is shave my head, and it's not because I look better or even because I save money, though that's nice. It's because it's not about how I look. It's about who I am. Man looks at the outside, but God looks at the heart. What You'll Learn: Why it's not about how you look, but who you are Why you should guard your heart, because from it the mouth speaks Why this winter should be about your heart, not just your body Why one lesson lived is better than a thousand learned Why knowledge puffs up but love builds up, and love sacrifices Why you need standards, not goals How walking with God step by step gives you the high ground in the fight Why procrastination doesn't remove the cost, it adds interest CHAPTERS: 00:00 Why I Shaved My Head 00:28 Man Looks at the Outside. God is Love. Love is Not God.

Does loving people get in the way of loving God? The world says love is love. God's Word says something different. In this study of 1 John 3:11-15 we look at the difference between the love of the world and the love of God, and why the virtue of love is determined by what you love and how you love. What You'll Learn: Why loving people is the way to love God, and He is the way to love people Why we serve people to please God, not to please people Why God is love, but love is not God Why true love loves the truth How to love God when you don't feel it How lust kills love, and comparison kills contentment Why the answer is to care most about God, not less about people How to lay down your preferences, personality, and gifts for others CHAPTERS: 00:00 The Love of the World and the Love of God 01:00 The Text: 1 John 3:11-15, and Prayer 02:08 Loving People Is the Way to Love God 03:36 We Serve People to Please God: What You Love and How You Love 07:14 God Is Love.
