    Have you heard the term "self-directed education" before and wondered what it is? Or how it differs from other education terms like "student-centered"? In Episode One of Your Greatest Teacher- a podcast for educators on educating and relating differently to young people- you'll hear from hosts Nadia and Min Zaw who share firstly their educational journies and how it led them to Self Directed Education. Then their personal definitions of the nuanced terms unschooling and SDE. Min Zaw shares from his perspective as a parent and solely SDE facilitator, while Nadia shares from her perspective as a credentialed educator and current SDE facilitator - tying in educational research and educator lingo. Nadia and Min Zaw hope to create a bridge between conventional educational ideas and the liberating nature of self-directed education as a way to create multifaceted systems that contribute to the authentic well-being of young people, educators, and communities.
