Welcome to Not So Quiet, a space for quiet mouths with busy minds. Hi, I’m Léa, and this show is where I (try to) put into words the thoughts, questions and experiences I often struggle to share in conversations. I’m 22 and do not have life figured out, but I'm here to share the few things I've learned along the way, through my travels and various encounters. I like to think of this space as a collection of big sister advice, and I hope it brings comfort to anyone who needs to feel supported. letting go of past versions of yourself

I recorded this a little while ago but as tomorrow will mark two years since I left Australia, I needed the reminder for myself and felt like sharing it. I hope it finds those who are struggling with saying goodbye to a chapter of their life and a version of themselves they loved so much. Highly recommend listening in 1.5x :p bisous Hosted on Acast. it’s okay to change your mind

long time no see… i’ve missed it this is a short episode to ease myself back into recording for the pod after many weeks of not being able to. if you’re feeling stuck in a situation, or feeling like you’re not on the right path, this episode might have something for you. it is about allowing yourself to change your mind and understanding that past decisions don’t have to weight as much as we think. hope it brings some peace of mind and comfort to those who need it :) Hosted on Acast. discovering who you are

10 | Hi, I’m back (again) ! Had to take a little break while moving back to Australia after a couple of weeks in France. 2023 has come to an end and it was by far the best year of my life yet. Therefore, it took me a while to process it and come to terms with the fact it was over. This year was the one my biggest dreams came true, and I found myself going blank in front of the white canvas for the 2024 vision board. It took me a bit to realize that it’s not really about what you want to accomplish but more about the type of person you want to be. I definitely went in many directions in this episode but it is also about feeling lost, not knowing what professional path we want to take, and understanding that there are more possibilities than we think. And as long as it sparks something in you, it is the right one. Feel free to reach out if you need :) Personal IG @leassalles Pod IG (coming soon) @notsoquietpodcast Hosted on Acast. “my life’s boring”

9 | “my life’s boring” This episode is for anyone feeling like they’re missing out, not doing enough, not enjoying life as much as anyone else seems on social media. We’re all on different paths, and as long as you’re enjoying what you are currently doing, or, it will lead you somewhere you’ll feel happy, you’re on the right path. With every decision comes sacrifices, even if we tend to only show the great sides. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

    post-travel blues

8 | After some time away dealing with post-travel depression and a broken mic, Not So Quiet is finally back :) In this short episode, I try to give some pieces of advice on how to deal with post-travel blues, while also acknowledging that we can't force ourselves to get better too quickly after experiencing a life-changing trip. Feeling down after traveling is normal and common, but it goes away. podcast IG: @notsoquietpodcast personal IG: @leassalles Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

    solo traveling

This was meant to be my comeback episode three weeks ago lol so don’t mind the intro but I’m uploading that on the train, on my way to yet another solo trip so I guess it’s good timing🤠Also couldn’t put the intro so this is upsetting and I’ll get to that as soon as I can Hosted on Acast. home is not a house

Hey, I’m back!! The struggle of ”having to come back home” is more and more present and got me thinking about what "home" truly is and means. To me, home is not a house, it’s the people I feel good around and a couple of different places, even the most impersonal ones. In this episode, I guess I’m coming to terms with the fact that it’s okay to not feel at home in the place you grew up in, and it’s okay to find a home somewhere else. Hosted on Acast. realizing your dreams

My biggest dream is almost over so I’m freaking out basically because what am I supposed to do afterwards? This episode kind of is a piece of digital diary at this point, which is scaring me too but also who cares? Tried to answer the following questions because apparently I miss school assignments so I’m giving some to myself: Should we make our biggest dreams happen? Is the high worth the low that follows? Can we peak multiple times in life? Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

    growing up

Growing up can feel pretty scary, nostalgic, and overwhelming, but it has its pros. So if growing older, into the unknown, is causing you anxiety, you're at the right place. This episode is about trying to de-dramatize becoming older, getting farther away from the good old days lol (I’m being extremely dramatic, I’m not even 20 please), and seeing how much fun it can be to not be a kid anymore. Blank canvas, no guidelines, happy accidents, are all part of the game. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

    mean people are hurt people

“Hurt people hurt people” and that’s why I’m convinced that no one’s actually mean. I believe that behind every mean action is a hurting and unhappy person, so if you want to think and discuss about that today, welcome.Obviously, this is just my opinion, everyone is free to think whatever they want :) Hosted on Acast. failing is empowering

Failing at something does have a bright side and is not a shame. So if you’ve just failed an exam, didn’t validate enough uni credits this year, or if you’re going through anything remotely close to making you feel like a failure, take a step back as we’ll discuss how failing is actually healthy and helpful! I tried to be a little less messy with this one, but my brain just loves to fuse and get out of control soooo… hopefully someone gets my point and finds a little bit of comfort knowing that it is more than okay to fail from time to time. it’s not that serious

Nothing’s that serious so let’s just pretend I know what I’m doing :))Hi, welcome to the first episode of not so quiet???!To start this podcast, I thought I’d share one of my life mantras, which helped me overcome a consequent part of my anxiety: “nothing’s that serious anyways.”I’m really happy this is finally coming to life and hope you can take something from it, despite how messy my brain is.I can’t wait to share more and make this the safe place I have in mind and want to create. This episode is simply a little reminder that if there’s something you want to do but are too afraid of, you should push through the fear and do it anyway. I swear it’s not as big of a deal as you think it is. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
