    Continuing to bring the fire following last week’s episode where we identified EO energies and behaviors, this week Jamie and Patricia dive into raising your standards. From changing how you focus your time, how you manage your energy levels, what boundaries you set, and your visibility are all areas that you can raise your standard and uplevel your business this week. For many, the standard is what automatically happens for the week… but we are shifting that and the standard is set with intention, with a focus on the necessary actions required to achieve a standard level of result each week. The modern societal view of goals is treating them like wishes on a dandelion. In our businesses, lives, and coaching practices, we utilize goals to set our standard of action. Our standards are based on the results and goals that we are intentionally working to achieve, and that’s what makes all the difference.     S03 E45: You’re Acting Like a Beginner… But You’re Not!

    When you start in business, everything is new…. you recognize how much you don’t know, but you have a fire inside you, often called “ignorance on fire.” Once you get a little deeper into your business journey, you aren’t new anymore and the awareness of how much you don’t know starts to creep in. You know too much to be a beginner, but you’re seeing the gurus ahead of you and see that you aren’t quite there… so you fall into beginner energy. And that’s where we need to shift. Because when we are not being our bold, full selves, we are playing small, not bringing impact to others, not living in abundance that overflows into our communities and those we interact with. Shift out of beginner energy where you are in constant learning mode “getting ready to get ready,” and never fully stepping into action. Beginner energy is avoiding visibility. But CEO energy? That’s action. That’s deciding you are going to do something and actually making it happen right now, not waiting for perfect conditions or perfect execution. CEO energy builds in accountability that strengthens your resolve to follow through. And it’s repeating what works, recognizing the strengths and the proof in the pudding and doing it again and again. Today’s action steps? Pick one offer to promote. Just one. And get it out there! In this episode, join Jamie & Patricia in talking through a quick business reset - something we encourage you to do regularly, just setting aside 20 minutes a month to assess what is working and what isn’t, and make adjustments. These mini resets really help to ensure your business activity is benefiting you and not just checking boxes and becoming “busy work”! Posting for the sake of posting, a to-do list without a purpose, eating the frog and completing those five minute tasks that don’t take much time but quickly move the needle and decrease the mental load, brain dumping your to-do’s, and identifying if your actions are aligned with your goals… these are all things that you can pretty quickly look at, determine whether they are working or not, and shift to make your summer fun and productivity so much more cohesive.
