Sick of the subway? Ever wondered how we can make February a less bad month? What are we going to do about climate change and sweatpants that cost $210? Join Emma Ecklund and friends for some cheeky chat on how we're going to fix everything, since it seems like nobody else is really going to.

The Library and the Post Office Should be Sexier

Emma is joined by old friend and fellow classically trained clown Aditya Lal Chadha (@adityalc) to discuss the many unsexy shortcomings of our libraries and post offices, and perhaps come up with a few sexy solutions. Tangents include: TikTok tarot readings, psychosexual lesbian drama, and intramural sports.

  2. 02/23/2024

    Who Should Make $300k/Year?

Oops! We disappeared for more than two months. Despite the odds, Emma is back with friend of the pod and good friend in general Adam Fisher (@adamthefisher) to catch up and share the professions that they believe should be raking in the big bucks. Tangents include Jennifer Lopez's triumphant film This is Me . . . Now, sandwiches, and a surprise guest appearance from Emma's roommate (and friend of the pod) Lena. You might have to listen until the very end for that one though.

    RATS! (feat. Pigeons)

We know them, we (likely do not) love them, and we've hired a czar to mitigate them. Are you supposed to capitalize czar when it's not in an official title? Let me know. Emma once more has her dear friend Pads (@squirepads) to discuss the furry little vermin that we are all too familiar with. Additional topics include Thanksgiving, Beef Wellington, and the Wild Bird Fund, which you can learn more about here: https://www.wildbirdfund.org/ OTHER LINKS: The video Pads mentions: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gNLBXGl_hH8&ab_channel=LinnaeanSocietyofNewYork Emma's sources (including official Rat Mitigation Zones:) https://a816-dohbesp.nyc.gov/IndicatorPublic/beta/key-topics/pests/rat-mitigation-zones/ https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2023-04-12/nyc-rat-czar-will-make-155-000-a-year https://www.nyc.gov/office-of-the-mayor/news/249-23/mayor-adams-anoints-kathleen-corradi-nyc-s-first-ever-rat-czar-#/0
