The Trauma That Shaped Me, the Healing That Changed Me

This is the most personal episode I've ever recorded. For years, I've shared pieces of my story, but never the whole picture. In this episode, I'm opening up about the experiences that shaped my childhood, the trauma I carried into adulthood, and the challenges that tested me in ways I never imagined. I talk about how those experiences affected my relationships, my self-worth, and the way I viewed the world—and what it took to begin healing. But this isn't a story about staying stuck. It's about choosing growth. Finding gratitude. Learning that our past doesn't have to define our future. I'm also sharing a glimpse into the book I've been writing, a project that has allowed me to reflect on my journey in a way I've never done before. I can't wait to share it with all of you when it's ready. Most importantly, this episode is about the people who changed my life. Every hardship led me to where I am today—to becoming a mother, building a life with the man I love, and appreciating each day through a completely different lens. If you've ever felt like your past is too heavy to move beyond, I hope this conversation reminds you that healing is possible, strength can be built through adversity, and your story is still being written. Thank you for allowing me to share mine. If this episode resonates with you, I'd love for you to follow Life's a Mom, leave a rating and review, and share it with someone who may need this reminder today.
