    What does the parable of the Great Banquet have to do with your everyday life? More than you might think. In Luke 14, Jesus tells the story of a master who prepares a great feast, sends out invitations, and watches as the guests make excuses and refuse to come. So he sends his servant into the streets, the highways, and the hedges with one mission: fill my house. This parable is one of the most powerful pictures of the Great Commission in all of Scripture, and it has something urgent to say to every believer today. The Great Commission, found in Mark 16:15, is not just for pastors or full-time ministers. It belongs to every follower of Jesus. And the parable of the Great Banquet shows us exactly what living out that mission looks like in real, everyday life. Your neighbor's invitation to salvation is in your hands. Your coworker's invitation is in your hands. Your family member's invitation is in your hands. This message explores what it truly means to go and make disciples, why people make excuses not to come to church, and how the Holy Spirit partners with us when we are willing to show up. It also addresses one of the most common fears believers face: not knowing what to say when sharing their faith. The answer is simpler than most people expect. If you have ever felt unqualified to share your faith, unsure of what to say, or simply too busy to prioritize the people around you who need the gospel, this message is for you. The empty seats in churches everywhere are not just empty chairs. They represent real people with real names who are waiting for someone to care enough to deliver the invitation. That someone is you.
