My Own Way

My Own Way

The My Own Way Podcast explores and highlights how leaders & change-makers have taken their own path to transform how we view success, and how we show up in the world. It’s designed to elevate the stories of those who were told “it has to be this way,” and inspire other trailblazers to make their own way. I’ll touch on topics such as integrative healing, mental health, embodiment, somatic awareness, and radical stories of resiliency.

Feeling Bad When Others Do Too

In this episode, Andrea reflects on the importance of self-care and well-being, even in the face of global atrocities. She emphasizes the need to honor and process our emotions while also finding joy and pleasure in life. Andrea encourages listeners to prioritize their own well-being in order to sustain their advocacy and make a positive impact in the world. Takeaways Self-care and well-being are essential for sustaining advocacy and making a positive impact. Feeling and processing emotions is a natural part of life and should not be avoided. It is possible to hold both difficult emotions and joy in our bodies. Finding a supportive community or buddy can help in navigating and processing emotions. Prioritizing our own well-being does not mean disregarding global atrocities, but rather ensuring that we are able to show up fully to make a difference. Healing Is Hard & A Reflection

In this episode, we talk a little about our assumption that healing is always hard, but what if that wasn't always a given? After seeing a theme in many conversations throughout my week--both personal and in supporting clients, I noticed that so often we believe healing is going to be hard and painful. And sometimes that's why we avoid it! Which makes sense, why would you *knowingly* move towards the pain?! You have an opportunity to reflect with me to discover any stories or assumptions you might have about healing. Feel free to take your time with this reflection! It can be written down, but you can also use a different medium like art, something creative, and bring in your resources (something that supports you during the process to remain present when things feel challenging). Or take your time and split up the reflection if that feels better to you! The options are limitless! Healing can be done on your own, but there's also an invitation to join with others in community to be witnessed in your healing journey. If you're looking for a community space for your experience to be witnessed, I invite you to Brunch Brujas. Brunch Brujas is a space where those with relationship to medicina, magia & mothering come together to *practice* receiving care for themselves. Check out the details here for our next BRUNCH BRUJAS! https://www.eventbrite.com/o/mar-y-sol-wellness-77954678523 I would LOVE to keep the conversation going! Learning to Live My Own Way

Learning to live life in my own way has been a journey of many joyous events, and many challenging turns. But being true to who I am is worth each and every step it took to get here. In this first episode, I briefly touch on a few challenges that invited me into living as authentically as possible, and the sacred moments that have surfaced that allow for pause and reflection. I invite you to join me in living your very own way--your very own journey. If life wasn’t about playing by the rules, what would you do differently? Even right now? If you needed to prove yourself to no one, but only desired to live in your deepest most true version—where is your next step headed?   Would you shift how you nourish your body? Be more intentional in your interactions? Become your own boss and offer holistic healing in ways that are beyond the education and degree you received? I get that.   I invite you on this journey of exploring your own way. It is your path, and everything is always an invitation. You may choose to receive some stories, and leave others. You may use this podcast as a launching pad for new insights and inspirations in your own life. Or you may notice the softening that comes with even just being curious before you take action. In this space you are welcome to move and be exactly as you need to. Thank you for joining me today. I would love to hear what came up for you as you lean into traveling your very own way. Please leave a comment, like & subscribe to the podcast. And share with a friend that could use encouragement of knowing that its okay to do things in their own way.
