In Hind Sight with Megan Rowland

Season 2 of The Grit Podcast is officially here, and I couldn’t think of a better way to kick things off. I’m joined by Megan Rowland for a proper chat about deer, hunting, women in the sector, and self-sufficiency- basically everything we love. We get into what it’s actually like being a woman in the hunting and deer world, why more women are getting involved, and what it means to take responsibility for the meat on your plate. It’s good to be back, let’s get into it. Links:  Megans Instagram [HERE] Hindsight [HERE] Croft 167 [HERE]

On Target with Courtney Palmer Jones

On the surface, small-bore target shooting is a game of quiet precision. But for British Champion Courtney, the real battle isn't against the target or her other competitors —it's fought in the six inches between her ears and across social media. In this episode of The Grit, we sit down with Courtney as she climbs the ranks toward becoming one of the top talents in the discipline. We break down the immense mental fortitude required to quiet the noise and find perfection in repetition. Beyond the firing line, we talk shop about the modern challenges facing shooting sports: the silent, algorithmic censorship, shadow-banning our community online and the fight to preserve knowledge and passion in a digital landscape that's increasingly hostile to it. This is a story about the relentless pursuit of a goal measured in millimetres, the unexpected kinship found in a community of disciplined individuals, and the resilience required to defend your passion. It's about the grit it takes to hold steady, both on the range and off. New Heights with Katherine Langan Snodgrass

In this episode, we break down what it takes to hunt an animal that lives where the earth meets the sky. BC native, Katherine walks us through the years of near-misses: the storms that pinned her down, vertical shin-scrapers and winds that’ll slap the optimism right outta ya - and of course, the humbling truth that goats don’t care how badly you want them. But, when she finally closed the distance on that billy, it was more than just a harvest. To follow along with Katherine: Instagram: @k.s_outdooradventures
