A Perfect Storm of Tax Reform: Part II

The Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association President Jon Coupal joins Bill to continue the conversation on three tax reform proposals on the November ballot.  The epicenter of the debate is the Taxpayer Protection and Government Accountability Act, which supporters say would close a loophole in Proposition 13 and ensure more transparency, but which opponents claim would have a catastrophic effect on public safety and California's economy. Water Water Everywhere... and Nowhere

California’s water problems are truly unlike anywhere else in the US.  The topography of farmland, desert, mountains, and coastline create an infinitely complex situation to manage the state’s water supply.  Add a population of roughly 40 million people, and a tenuous situation is now in full blown crisis.   In this episode, California Water For All’s Paul Helicker  discusses our state’s water problems, and what legislation is in the pipeline that might help alleviate our seemingly never-ending water crisis.   Links: California Water For All San Juan Water District   Created and Hosted by Bill RomanelliProduced and Edited by Brian BoeckmanA production of WMG Public Affairs
