    What Is the Root Cause of Anxiety? You Cannot Serve God and Mammon | Sermon on the Mount Pt 28 | Straight Bible

    STRAIGHT BIBLE SATURDAY on Nephilim Death Squad. What is the root cause of anxiety? In Matthew 6:24-34 (KJV), Jesus says you cannot serve God and mammon, and serving mammon only feeds anxiety. "Take no thought" doesn't mean do nothing. It means take no anxiety: do the work, then, having done all, stand (Ephesians 6:13). Sermon on the Mount Pt 28, hosted by Matttttt Hepner and TopLobsta.     Worship or a Show? Who's Really Writing Your Church's Songs | NDS

    Is worship just the music? Zack and Jason of The Berean Files join TopLobsta and David Lee Corbo "The Raven" on Nephilim Death Squad to dig into the New Apostolic Reformation (NAR), worship and worship music, and who is really writing the songs your church sings. Jason, a worship pastor who says he has led worship from the stage for about 30 years, defines worship as ascribing worth to something, and the guys argue that worship is every minute of your life, not just the songs on Sunday. They ask why churches guard the pulpit but not the music ministry, when the lyrics of a song stick with people long after the sermon is forgotten, and why people get more defensive when you question a worship song than when you push back on a sermon.     Why Are You Anxious? What "Take No Thought" Means | Sermon on the Mount Pt 27 | Straight Bible

    STRAIGHT BIBLE WEDNESDAY on Nephilim Death Squad. What did Jesus mean by "take no thought for your life" in Matthew 6:24-34 (KJV)? Not "sit on your porch and wait for life to happen." Take no anxiety: seek the kingdom of God first, then work without worry. Sermon on the Mount Pt 27, hosted by Matttttt Hepner and TopLobsta. Matthew 6:24 is the hinge of the chapter. Verses 19-24 warn against coveting abundance, and verses 25-34 warn against being anxious about necessities. Matttttt shows that "take no thought" means take no anxiety, the same idea as "Be careful for nothing" in Philippians 4:6. From there: losing your life to find it (Matthew 16:24-27), flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom (1 Corinthians 15:50-54), "If God be for us, who can be against us?" (Romans 8:31-39), render unto Caesar and unto God (Luke 20:19-26), "all souls are mine" (Ezekiel 18:4), Moses asking to be blotted out of God's book (Exodus 32:30-33), the books of judgment (Revelation 20:12-15), your children belong to God (Ezekiel 16:20-21), and Paul on Mars Hill (Acts 17:22-28). Then back to the fowls of the air, which never just sit around, the ant (Proverbs 6:6-11), Adam put in the garden "to dress it and to keep it" before the curse (Genesis 2:7-15), providing for your own house (1 Timothy 5:8), and "if any would not work, neither should he eat" (2 Thessalonians 3:10).
