Becoming A Better You Podcast With Coach Paul

Paul Casey

I'm Coach Paul and I haven't always been a productive and successful member of society. I've been homeless, hooked on drugs, and even incarcerated for close to 15 years in total. But today I run a successful online coaching business where I help my clients completely transform their lives through my signature M3 method where we focus on mindset, metabolism and muscle. Today I have a beautiful family that will never see me high or drunk or violent. Today I live a life that most people who come from where I come from never get to enjoy. So I started this podcast to share my story as well as the story of others who have made the conscious decision to become better in all areas of their lives. The goal of this podcast is to change as many lives as possible and make a bigger impact on the world. My goal with every episode is to bring you value and help you become a better you. I was a miracle from the gate. My mom was told she would never have children. Yet here I am. I come from a broken home with a mother that was addicted to drugs and alcohol, and a father that was verbally and physically abusive They both did the best they could to raise me but by 15 the streets had its hooks in me. I was addicted to drugs, hanging out with the wrong crowd and began my journey of incarceration. From 15-17 I went in and out of juvenile hall, boys homes and mental health facilities. At 17 I was homeless for the first time and dropped out of high school. From 18-19 I went in and out of jail for minor felonies and misdemeanors and at 19 I went to prison for the first time. I got out of prison at 22 and made a very small attempt to change my ways. I got a job and enrolled in a couple college classes. At that time I still believed that I'd be ok smoking weed and drinking alcohol but if you've ever battled with addiction you know that this doesn't last long. Within 6 months I was back to my old ways and only 9 months out of prison, I was back in jail looking at 27 years. I fought my case, beat a few charges and ended up getting 10 years, and during those 10 years I slowly and steadily began to change my ways and my thought patterns. I enrolled in college classes and became utterly obsessed with fitness and nutrition. I read every book and magazine I could and became the guy you went to for fitness advice and workout plans. Although I had begun to make changes I still did not know how to deal with past trauma and the emotions that came with it. This kept me stuck in a roller coaster of addiction and criminal behavior. It took nine of those 10 years for me to finally stop using drugs and participating in criminal activities. I dedicated the last year of my incarceration to changing everything about myself so that I could get out and hit the ground running. I participated in every class or program I could from substance abuse to anger management to more college courses. I even took a parenting class and was the only one in that class that didn't have kids. Less than five years ago, I walked out of those prison gates, never to look back again. Adjusting to society has been a struggle at times but everyday I become better! I now run an incredibly successful online fitness business where I'm able to help busy parents lose weight, gain energy and live a healthier and happier life for their families. I have a beautiful family of my own and even have a pet rabbit. I live a life beyond my wildest imagination and get to wake up every day and make a positive impact in the world. This podcast was created to help you become a better you as I tell my story, share my experience and talk to others that wake up each day and strive to become better! Together we will grow, we will learn, and we will become better together!

Episode 5 My Level Up Trip to Utah

🎙️ EPISODE 5: My Level Up Trip to Utah Featuring: Lessons from The Sober Bodybuilder In this episode, I'm breaking down one of the most powerful experiences I've had in a long time — my trip to Utah to connect with @thesoberbodybuilder, Brad Jensen. This wasn't just a podcast collab or a content day. This was a LEVEL UP moment. We trained together. We filmed content. We sat down and had one of the realest, most down-to-earth convos I've ever had with another coach. Brad didn't have to pour into me — but he did. No agenda. No ego. Just straight-up wisdom, presence, and genuine care for helping another man grow. In this episode, I share the major takeaways from that trip — about coaching, discipline, business, purpose, and what it really means to lead from the front. If you've ever felt stuck… if you're chasing growth… or if you just need a reminder of what's possible when good people link up for the right reasons — this one's for you.   I am on a mission to impact 100s of thousands of lives through fitness and motivational speaking.
