    Okre - Barcelona's First Freeze-Dried Food Brand

In this episode of the Frozen Assets podcast, I sat down with Jorge, the co-founder of Okre, a freeze-dried food company based in Barcelona, Spain. Jorge found his way into this industry the same way a lot of people do, by searching YouTube for answers and eventually landing on the Freeze Dried Business channel. His background is in outdoor sports and bike packing, and that's actually what sparked the whole idea. After paying a lot for a disappointing freeze-dried meal on a multi-day trip, he came home curious and started digging. One freeze dryer turned into four, and what started as testing in a home kitchen has grown into a real facility with a full product line built around Spanish recipes and outdoor nutrition. He runs the business with his best friend, a trained chef who handles the kitchen and recipe development, while Jorge focuses on marketing and getting the product out into the world. It's a natural split that came together organically, and it's a good example of why finding the right partner early matters more than most people realize.Helpful links:Join The Freeze-Dried Network: https://www.skool.com/freeze-dried-networkStay connected:Follow on TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn @ freezedriedbusinesshttps://freezedriedbusiness.comPurchase your ticket for the largest, most informative freeze-drying event. Farm Fetch: Canadian Dog Owners Actually Want Freeze-Dried Pet Food

What started as a hobby freeze-drying strawberries for hiking trips turned into one of Canada's most exciting new freeze-dried pet food companies. Anannya, founder of Farm Fetch Pets based in Toronto, joins the Frozen Assets podcast to share how a 12-hour hike with her dog Caillou sparked the idea for a gently cooked, freeze-dried pet food that is free of fillers, preservatives, and synthetic vitamins. From reformulating recipes five times to get the fat content right, to discovering that proper mylar packaging is everything, Anannya gives an honest and inspiring look at what it actually takes to build a freeze-dried pet food business from the ground up.In this episode we dig into why freeze-drying is the best technique for preserving nutrients in pet food, the real hidden costs that most new freeze-dry entrepreneurs do not see coming, and why Anannya believes the best businesses are born from personal problems you are passionate enough to solve. If you are a pet owner who wants better for your dog or an entrepreneur thinking about getting into the freeze-dried food space, this conversation is going to resonate with you.Find Farm Fetch here: https://farmfetchpet.com/Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/farmfetchpetHelpful links:Join The Freeze-Dried Network: https://www.skool.com/freeze-dried-networkStay connected:Follow on TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn @ freezedriedbusinesshttps://freezedriedbusiness.comPurchase your ticket for the largest, most informative freeze-drying event.
