#142 - Are You Burying Your God-Given Gifts? | Parable of The Talents

Send us Fan Mail What are you doing with the gifts God has entrusted to you? In Episode 142 of the Campfire Council Podcast, Luke, Joey, and Miranda unpack the Parable of the Talents in Matthew 25. They discuss what “talents” really meant in the passage—and how the principle applies to our abilities, time, money, relationships, influence, and opportunities today. The conversation explores the difference between salvation and works, the danger of comparison, the fear that keeps us from taking faithful risks, and the pressure we place on ourselves to produce visible results. They also share personal stories about evangelism, discipleship, answered prayers, and learning to trust God with the seeds we sow. God does not expect your journey to look like someone else’s. He asks you to be faithful with what He has placed in your hands. You’ve been given a gift. Use it. 📖 Scripture discussed: Matthew 25:14–30 🔥 Subscribe for more honest conversations about faith, purpose, and following Jesus. 💬 What gift or opportunity is God asking you to use in this season? #ChristianPodcast #ParableOfTheTalents #Faith #ChristianLiving #Purpose #Discipleship #Matthew25 If you have a prayer request or question, send us a DM or leave a comment. #141 - Faith, Anxiety & Depression: Olivia’s Story of Healing

Send us Fan Mail Can Christians struggle with anxiety and still trust God? Is taking mental-health medication a sign of weak faith? What do you do when you pray, read Scripture, and your situation still doesn’t change? In Episode 141 of the Campfire Council Podcast, Luke, Joey, and Miranda sit down with their friend Olivia for a candid conversation about faith, anxiety, antidepressants, depression, and healing after rock bottom. Olivia shares how anxiety became physically debilitating, why she chose therapy and medication, and how she learned to see those resources as tools rather than replacements for God. She also opens up about the darkest period of her life: a broken engagement two weeks before the wedding, losing her job, financial hardship, isolation, and years she now calls her “black hole years.” Together, the group wrestles with difficult questions: • Why do Christians still struggle with mental health? • Can medication and genuine trust in God coexist? • What does faith look like when God could remove our suffering—but doesn’t? • How should we respond when “do not be anxious” feels impossible? • Can painful experiences ever fully heal? • How do you trust God and date again after a devastating relationship? Olivia’s story is ultimately one of hope. Through faith, medication, friendship, church, Bible study, and Christian community, she slowly found her joyful heart again. Her testimony is a reminder that your identity is not your anxiety, your darkest season is not forever, and God can use every part of your story. If you are struggling today: you are loved, you are not alone, and there is no shame in reaching out for support. #140 - Faith Without Action: The Encounter That Convicted Us

Send us Fan Mail What happens when someone needs more than encouraging words? In Episode 140 of the Campfire Council Podcast, Luke, Joey, and Miranda discuss an unexpected encounter with a man named Mike who was struggling to pay his rent. What began as an uncomfortable interruption became a powerful lesson about generosity, obedience, and being the hands and feet of Jesus. The conversation challenges us to examine whether our faith changes how we respond to the people directly in front of us. Are we willing to pause our plans, listen to someone’s story, give when it costs us, and meet a practical need? Or have we become comfortable consuming Christian content without putting our faith into action? The group explores the widow’s offering, the Good Samaritan, caring for “the least of these,” the relationship between faith and works, and the importance of remaining open-handed with our time, money, comfort, and plans. They also discuss Christian community, trusting God’s provision, responding to suffering, and the weight behind praying, “Here I am, Lord—send me.” This episode is an invitation to slow down, notice the people God places in your path, and ask a difficult question: What are you holding onto that God may be asking you to surrender? Scriptures discussed: • Mark 12:41–44 — The widow’s offering • Luke 10:25–37 — The Good Samaritan • Matthew 25:36–40 — Caring for the least of these • Philippians 2:3 — Valuing others above ourselves • Proverbs 19:17 — Being kind to the poor • Isaiah 6:8 — “Here am I. Send me.” • Philippians 3 — Counting everything as loss for Christ If this conversation encouraged or convicted you, like the episode, leave a comment, subscribe, and share it with someone who needs to hear it. #139 - Authentic With Purpose with Vanya Koepke

Send us Fan Mail What does it actually mean to live authentically—and how do we keep approval, success, social media, and politics from defining who we are? Author, speaker, and Wisconsin elected official Vanya Koepke returns to the Campfire Council Podcast to discuss his second book, “Authentic with Purpose.” Vanya explains why authenticity is more than “being yourself”: it means rooting your identity in truth, embracing vulnerability, building genuine community, and having the courage to live out your God-given purpose. Together, Luke, Joey, Miranda, and Vanya talk about the temptation to measure ministry by views and followers, pursuing goals without putting success above God, making money through faith-based work, recovering after vulnerability leads to betrayal, and navigating political disagreements without sacrificing relationships or the gospel. Vanya also shares the three-year process behind his new book, the importance of journaling, his two-word purpose statement, and why he would rather see the gospel succeed than his political party win. Whether you feel trapped by comparison, afraid to be vulnerable, uncertain about your purpose, or isolated from genuine community, this conversation is a reminder that you are loved, you are not alone, and you were created for more than the approval of others. 🔥 IN THIS EPISODE: • What authentic living really looks like • Why followers, titles, and success cannot define your purpose • How Vanya wrote “Authentic with Purpose” • Pursuing ambitious goals while putting God first • Whether Christians should make money from faith-based work • Why real authenticity begins in person • Recovering after betrayal and broken trust • Finding healing through vulnerable community • Faith, politics, voting, and disagreeing with love • Creating a simple two-word purpose statement 📚 LEARN MORE ABOUT VANYA: Authentic with Purpose:https://www.youarehereforapurpose.com/authentic-with-purpose You Are Here for a Purpose:https://www.youarehereforapurpose.com/ Watch Vanya’s first Campfire Council appearance:[https://youtu.be/SFuxdDyOkJ8] If this conversation encouraged you, please like, comment, subscribe, and share it with someone who needs to hear it. #Authenticity #Purpose #ChristianPodcast #Faith #VanyaKoepke #AuthenticWithPurpose #ChristianLiving #CampfireCouncil If you have a prayer request or question, send us a DM or leave a comment. #138 - Why Does God Let Faithful People Suffer?

Send us Fan Mail Why do we sometimes expect fewer trials when we’re doing everything a “good Christian” should do? In Episode 138, Luke and Joey wrestle with suffering, unanswered prayers, and what it means to trust God when His promises feel impossible. They share the unforgettable testimony of a woman who continued praising God through eight miscarriages—and eventually welcomed the two children she believed God had promised her. The conversation also explores worshiping from a broken place, recognizing God’s direction through Scripture and Christian community, dreaming big without losing sight of His will, and using whatever platform you have to glorify Christ. Plus: Justin Bieber worshiping on a massive stage, some questionable sock opinions, and the definitive Monster Energy tier list. What helps you remain faithful when life doesn’t make sense?
