From Variation to Alignment: Protocols that Improve Patient Selection and Minimally Invasive Parafascicular Surgical Timing

Welcome to Hemorrhagic Stroke Management: Current Perspectives and Future Directions in Minimally Invasive Parafascicular Surgery (MIPS), an American Heart Association podcast series dedicated to advancing the care of patients with intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH). Through conversations with clinical leaders and quality improvement experts, this series explores innovative approaches, operational strategies, and real-world experiences that support better outcomes for patients with ICH.   Unwarranted variation in care can lead to delays, inconsistent decision-making, and missed opportunities for timely intervention. In this episode, From Variation to Alignment: Protocols that Improve Patient Selection and Surgical Timing, we examine how standardized protocols and multidisciplinary pathways are helping healthcare teams make more consistent, evidence-informed decisions about patient selection and surgical timing.   Join experts from UCI Health: Dr. Jefferson Chen, Neurological Surgeon and Director of Neurotrauma; Dr. Mohammad Shafie, Associate Clinical Professor, Director of the Vascular Neurology Fellowship Program, and Associate Director of the Comprehensive Stroke and Cerebrovascular Center; and Dana Stradling, MSN, RN, CNRN, Stroke Program Manager for the UCI Health Orange Comprehensive Stroke & Cerebrovascular Center.
