Today, John Camacho interviewed Kailyn Smith who is a Brilliant PhD Candidate in Philosophy at Boston University and she is also a Sports Columnist for The Daily Free Press, The Independent Student Newspaper at Boston University. On October 29, 2024, Smith published the article, “The Post-Up: Draymond Green got his first tech of the season, but one doesn’t mean two.” We discuss her academic journey studying philosophy at Morgan State University, HBCU, talk about her research interests in philosophy of law, ethics, and philosophy of science. In response, John Camacho and Zack Hamilton created The Moral Questions of Sports to address the intersection of sport, business, legal, and moral issues.   One of these controversial sports topics is Sportswashing.   To address it, we discuss his paper, “Sportswashing: Complicity and Corruption.” He is also the author of the book, Why It’s Okay to be a Sports Fan.   Alfred is an Associate Professor in Philosophy at The Tilburg Center Moral Philosophy, Epistemology and Philosophy of Science (TiLPS), Tilburg University. His main research interests are in moral philosophy, moral psychology and social philosophy. He is especially interested in the role that admiration plays in our lives, particularly in relation to morality, culture and politics. She uncovered the story, “University of Illinois Springfield Golf Team Accuses Head Coach of ‘Shocking Abuse.’” Keirsten discusses her sports journey as well as gets into an interesting conversation about the qualities that make great coaches and how coaches lose their team.   She is the founder and CEO of 2aDays. On top of that, she is a writer for The Huddle. Being the Chief Executive Officer of 2aDays means that Keirsten is the one held accountable for the success of the company’s efforts, across the board.
